2 HI COACH! I have created this guide to help you structure your coaching when you first begin your practice. During your training, you were given a model with a solid foundation as the underlying guide for all the work you will do. I want to make it very clear, though, that you don t need to solely rely on the model-free form when you coach. In fact, we want to highly recommend that you use the worksheet as a basis for all your early coaching. I have broken this work down into six sessions for you to use as a guideline. Feel free to use it as is, or change it up as much as you would like. You can add worksheets or swap them out as you wish. Also, this is a plan you can follow and use if it works for your client. If your client comes to you with another agenda or program they would like to work on instead, I highly recommend that you are flexible in your approach and focus on the client s preferred direction. I have designed this plan to take you seamlessly through six sessions. Your client will learn a great deal about themselves and how they function in the world. Remember that we want to focus on AWARENESS & CONSICOUSNESS first. Our clients need to understand the CAUSE behind all of their actions before they start trying to make changes.

3 Session #1 will focus on understanding your client. You will ask them questions based on the pre-work questionnaire that I have customized here for you. Session #2 will focus on your client s feelings. You will help them to understand the significance of their feelings and to use awareness to increase their ability to feel and ultimately accomplish more in their lives. Session #3 will be centered on helping your client identify what they want. You will work with them on goal setting and how to overcome obstacles. Session #4 will involve teaching your client about the primary question. You will teach them about the power of thought and how questions can facilitate deliberate and positive thought patterns. Session #5 will be about creating a new religion, or a new way of thinking. You will show them the power of creating an effective base of beliefs that will serve them in conscious creation. Session #6 is the final session in the series during which you will show them how to choose their priorities and manage their time. By showing them what they want to be doing compared with what they are actually doing, you are encouraging them to create results more in line with their goals. You will conclude with having them write a letter to their past self from their future self. I ve designed these sessions with powerful and approachable tools for you to use and achieve results without having to get bogged down in an advanced style of coaching right away. 4 Session #1 Have your client come to the first session knowing that you will be doing an intake of sorts and spending some time getting to know them. Provide them with Worksheet #1 prior to the session, so they can submit it to you before the session begins. This way you will have time to review it. When they come to the session, ask them how it was for them to complete it. See if there is anything they want to say about it. My intention is that you will use the worksheets during your sessions and not necessarily give them homework. Again, this is totally up to you. You can change this up and customize based on your client as you see fit. Then ask them the questions on Worksheet #2 as a way to get started. Once you have completed Worksheet #2, have them do a Problem-Thought Download. Basically, ask them to tell you about a problem they are having. You can use the questions on Worksheet #3 to prompt this. Have them talk about this for at least five minutes. Write down as many detailed notes as you can. Once they have finished, begin talking to them about the clear difference between a thought and a circumstance. Briefly review the model with them. You do not need to go into great detail here. You just want to get across the difference between a T and a C. Then let them know you want to talk through their problem and separate the facts from the thoughts. Since you recorded detailed notes while they were talking, you can work through the main details again together in a conversation. Take your time here. Make sure your client truly understands the importance of the distinction between a thought and a circumstance. Remind them all of our problems are created with our thinking. None of our problems are the facts. Help them realize how they are thinking about the problem is the real problem. At this point, do not try to solve the problem. Just let them know that you are simply practicing the skill of separating out the facts. This should most likely take you to the end of the session. If it doesn t, you can spend some time talking about the way the client is choosing to think about the problem. You could explore options and different perspectives. You could also do the same exercise with something great in their life. Have them tell you all about it and separate out the facts. Show the client the way they are thinking about it is what makes them feel so great. Point out how contrasting their thoughts are in different situations.

7 WORKSHEET #3 PROBLEM THOUGHT DOWNLOAD 1. Tell me about a current problem you are having in your life right now. 2. Are there any more details you think are important? 3. Why do you think you are having this problem? 4. What about this problem is most upsetting to you? 5. What have you done to try and solve this problem so far?

8 Session #2 In session #2 you want to introduce your clients to feelings. Feelings are the highest priority when it comes to understanding what drives your client s actions. Make sure you spend some time explaining and talking about feelings with your client. Remember that feelings are one word. They are vibrations in our bodies created by thoughts in our minds, and they drive all of our actions. This session is two parts. You want to teach your client to become aware and conscious of what they are feeling. You also want to make sure they are taking responsibility for all of their feelings by owning that their thoughts ultimately create their feelings. Finally, you want to help them decide what they want to be feeling and encourage them to begin working towards this. Start by going over the Feeling List Worksheet. Then walk them through the Now Feeling Worksheet #4. Allot plenty of time to make sure your client is truly connecting with the vibration in their body and not just participating at an intellectual level. Some clients are very tuned out of their bodies. Be patient and make sure they are truly feeling and moving through each emotion. To end the session, do the Top Three Feelings Worksheet #5. Ask your client the questions and help them understand the impact of choosing emotion by going over various options. Remind them their feelings are always optional. If they aren t feeling the way they want to feel, they can change their thoughts and therefore, how they feel!

11 WORKSHEET #5 TOP THREE FEELINGS On a daily basis what are your three most common feelings? Why do you think you have these feelings on a daily basis? What do you think this says about you and your life? Are you content with these feelings on a regular basis? Yes or no? What would need to happen for you to change these feelings? What would you like your top three feelings to be? How do you believe your life would be different if you lived with the feelings you want instead of the feelings you have?

12 Session #3 In this session you will start talking to your clients about what they want to create. Many of your clients will come to you with desires they feel they don t have any control over. They will feel as if they are waiting for their life to happen. Start with the Want List Worksheet #6. This is a fantastic worksheet for many reasons. First, it helps clients tap into their desires. Second, you can teach them how important it is to include things on the want list that they already have. Third, it can lead you into coaching them on their goals and plans for the future. You can have them brainstorm their wants. Write down everything they say. Keep asking them, what else? When they run out of things they want, remind them that they can and should want things they already have. Have them continue with this list. Many of us only know how to want from a place of scarcity; we are used to only wanting things we don t have. When we practice wanting from a place of abundance, we can include both the things we do have and the things we don t have yet. (I always encourage clients to incorporate things they already have into their vision boards along with the things they don t have yet.) Next, you will want to teach the client to pick an outcome for their life and then focus on a 90-day goal. This is a very powerful exercise. Have them think very long term about something they want to accomplish and complete within their lifetime. Then have them rework it backwards. Then, for that outcome, go through Outcome Review Worksheet #7 with them. The most important thing to emphasize with outcomes is how they feel. If you want to know if you are going to achieve an outcome, the best clue is how you feel about it. If you are excited, motivated and determined, that will give you an indication of the results. The reason any of us want to achieve a goal is because of how we think we will feel when we complete it. So we must start there. Once you have completed their goal worksheet, work with them on the Obstacles Worksheet #8. It is a great idea to anticipate the obstacles ahead of time and then work with the client on creating strategies for each one. It is very normal to experience fear and doubt when we are stretching ourselves to grow. Having a plan of action for the obstacles will change everything.

15 WORKSHEET #7 OUTCOME REVIEW Outcome: Why do you want to achieve this outcome? How do you imagine you will feel when you realize this outcome? What will be the same when you realize this outcome? (In what ways are you already living in line with this outcome?) What will be different when you realize this outcome? How will you need to change to be the person who has realized this outcome?

17 Session #4 In this session you will work with your clients on questions. You can spend time asking them questions then help them learn how to ask themselves powerful questions. Start the session with a problem-thought download like you did in the first session. Use the Problem Question Worksheet #9 to explore how asking questions can give us different perspectives on problems and the way we think about them. Questions are so powerful because they tell our brain what to think about. The better the question, the better the thinking. After you ve gone through these questions, you can offer them to your clients as questions they can use for future problems. You can also repeat this process with multiple problems. Next, you can teach them the power of the Primary Question Worksheet #10. Remember that each of us has a question we ask throughout our day without even realizing it. Many times your clients will have very disempowering questions that encourage negative thinking. Start by finding out what your client s current question is and then help them think of a better question to serve them better. Have your client brainstorm multiple questions that can serve them.

18 WORKSHEET #9 PROBLEM QUESTION The problem has been solved. How did you solve it? What did you do? Are there multiple solutions? What are they? What is another perspective on this problem? For example, what would a 94-yearold grandmother say to you about this problem? How is having this problem useful to you? Find at least one way. What have you learned by having this problem? What is perfect about this problem? What is the solution that most feels like love?

19 WORKSHEET #9 PROBLEM QUESTION CONTINUED If another person has been involved in this problem, how would they describe it differently than you? If you were presenting this problem as good news, how would you describe it? Ten years from now, how will you think about this problem? Describe a similar problem from your past that ended up serving you. You wake up tomorrow and everything is better. What changed? What is the best -case scenario? Why? What could you GIVE right now that would help with this problem?

20 WORKSHEET #10 PRIMARY QUESTION List your primary question here. This is a question you ask yourself over and over all day in order to feel good or inspired, for example, How can I make losing weight more fun? Answer this question positively in three different ways. Where could you keep this primary question so you would see it and ask it multiple times per day? Can you identify any negative questions you have used in the past that you would like to eliminate? (e.g., Why can t I stop being depressed? )

21 Session #5 In this session you ll be working with your client on creating new thoughts. You will want to give them an overview lesson on the Model Worksheet #11. Review the general overview and then walk them though a few examples of the model in action. I prefer to use one positive followed by one negative example. Once your client understands that their thinking pattern is the cause of all of their feelings, actions, and results, they will be very interested in creating new thoughts. Remember that new thoughts have to feel better and be believable to have any positive impact on your clients. One of the best ways to get this process started is to have them make a list of their current positive thinking patterns. Then you can ask them about what thoughts make them feel excited, happy, loved, peaceful, and abundant. Have a look at some of the examples on Worksheet #12 read them to your client and let them borrow in order to brainstorm. Next, you will take them right into Worksheet #13 New Religion. Have them work with you to come up with a new way of thinking about their life and themselves. It is worth it to take lots of time and come up with many more thoughts than the client might even need. Consciousness is the first step and once that is mastered, the next and most important step is deliberate thinking. Creating thoughts that matter and that we want to think are a very high return on investment practice. A new religion is a belief base to create any result or life we want. (Remember that a belief is simply a thought we keep on thinking over time.)

23 WORKSHEET #12 POSITIVE MANTRAS You are guided. Everything is as it should be. Everything happens for you. It was meant to happen the way it did. You are exactly as you should be. Everything happens right on time. The Universe doesn t make mistakes. You are not your mind; you are the Watcher of your mind. Love is always an option. Unconditional love is something you give yourself. You are responsible for everything you think and feel. No one else can cause an emotion inside you. People are allowed to behave the way they want, and you are allowed to react the way you want. It s not what you do; it s who you are. There is nothing you can do that wouldn t be worthy of forgiveness. There is nothing wrong with you. You are enough. Nothing has gone wrong here. You are here to get to work on yourself. Your purpose is the life you are living now.

24 WORKSHEET #12 POSITIVE MANTRAS CONTINUED You are deeply loved. The world longs for what you have to offer. There is nothing you truly want that you can t have. Hard work feels amazing. You can do hard things. Familiarity is not the same thing as comfort. Suffering is sometimes familiar but not necessary. Worry serves no purpose. Money is easy. There is plenty of time. You could do twice as much. Everything you do is a choice. Your past is perfect. There is nothing anyone else can do to make you happy that s your job. What you do doesn t make you happy rather what you think does. What you look for, you will find. You don t have fun you are fun. What others think of you whether positive or negative is about them and not you. Trying to get someone to love you to feel love is like getting someone else to eat so you can feel full.

25 WORKSHEET #13 NEW RELIGION Write down five beliefs you want to adopt on this journey. Look at these beliefs often and find ways to prove them true in your life. (Example: I believe that I happen to my days, they do not happen to me) New Evidence I Have and Can Create:

26 Session #6 This is the last session in the series. I would start off the session with a bit of review. Have the client do a current problem-thought download, and make sure they are very clear and understand the difference between the facts and thoughts. See if they fully understand and accept that their thoughts are optional. Do a review of their current thoughts and feelings. Have they been managing their thought patterns and emotions better since you began your work together? See what has been coming easily to them, and note what hasn t been working as well. Open up the first part of the session by getting some feedback and thoughts about the work so far. In this session, it s powerful to do the Priority Worksheet #14. You will need to go through the client s current priorities and the way they are living their life now. Write down notes on this. Then, have them be very clear about what they want their priorities to be. How far off are they from what they want or where they wanted to be? Then, do a time journal with them. Ask how they have spent the last 24 hours. How in line is it with their priorities? Most of your clients will be very surprised with how out of line their day is with what they really want. It can open a discussion of why and how. Next, I like to end the session with letters. You can brainstorm the letters during the call or have the client just talk it out as if they were having a conversation. You can ask them what they would say to their Past Self (Worksheet #15) if they were to have a conversation. You can use the prompts on the worksheet to help them think through what they would want to say. Finally, you can conclude with the letter or conversation they would have with their future self. This is one of the most powerful practices if you can help your client through it. I like to remind them that they always have access to this future self for guidance and advice. Where is the future self in their life? You can go three to five years or even 10 years ahead. Then they can ask how they got there, how they overcome certain obstacles, and how they stayed committed to get the results they wanted. It is especially powerful to do the Past Self Worksheet before the Future Self conversation. It is easier for us to talk to our past selves, to let them know that everything is going to turn out fine and how to get to that desired future place. It s easier over time to apologize for things we did back then. End the session with some ongoing action steps based on what they have learned.

27 WORKSHEET #14 PRIORITY Make a list of your top five priorities in order Why did you put them in this order? Why is your #1 priority so important to you? Are you currently living in line with these priorities? Think about what you did yesterday: does it reflect the order of these priorities? Are these priorities in line with your outcomes? Does anything need to change in order to align them better? Explore this.

28 WORKSHEET #15 PAST SELF Write a letter to yourself in the past using the following format. This is another wonderful tool for uncovering negative thought patterns and beliefs.
