3 General Information Skill Level: Intermediate Please read all instructions before beginning. All seams are sewn with a ¼" seam allowance. Pre-wash all fabrics and press with spray starch. WOF = Width of Fabric is based on 40". Press all seams open (unless directed otherwise) to decrease bulk. Finished Blocks are 12" square. Label all pieces when cut for easier construction. This pattern is based on the Blue Colorway. Blue Colorway Instructions: Step 1: Cutting the Fabric 1. Fabric A B Dark Blue Psychedelic Swirl a. Cut (8) strips at 2½" x WOF Sub-cut into (120) 2½" squares (40) for Set A, (40) for Set B, and (40) for Set C. b. Cut (5) strips at 4½" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 4½" squares Set B. c. Cut (7) strips at 3¾" x WOF Join all the strips together at the 3¾" edge then sub-cut into (2) 3¾" x 62½" rectangles (Left and Right Sides) and (2) 57" x 3¾" rectangles (Top and Bottom) Outer Border. 2. Fabric B B - Blue Wave Texture Cut (3) strips at 2½" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 2½" squares (20) for Set A and (20) for Set C. 3. Fabric C B Blue Faceted Geometric Cut (3) strips at 4⅞" x WOF Sub-cut into (20) 4⅞" squares Cross-cut ONCE to yield (40) triangles Set A. 4. Fabric D V Grape Ombre Dot Cut (3) strips at 4½" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 2½" x 4½" rectangles Set B. 7. Step 2 Set A 11. Working from the UPPER left corner to the LOWER right corners sew the pieces together as follows in columns Make (40) Note: Keep in mind the direction of each triangle when sewing the columns the middle column is 2 as illustrated in Example A: a. Column 1 Sew (1) Fabric F triangle to the bottom of (1) Fabric A 2½" square Make (80) Set aside (40) for Column 1 and use the remaining (40) for Column 2. b. Column 2 Sew (1) Fabric G triangle to the bottom of (40) of the pieces just sewn Make (40). c. Column 3 Sew (1) Fabric G triangle to the top of (1) Fabric B 2½" square Make (40). Example A Column 1 5. Fabric E RP Red/Pink Ombre Dot Cut (3) strips at 4½" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 2½" x 4½" rectangles Set B. 6. Fabric F VL Orchid Lola Texture a. Cut (4) strips at 2⅞" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 2⅞" squares Cross-cut ONCE to yield (80) triangles (40) for Set A and (40) for Set C. b. Cut (7) strips at 2½" x WOF Join all the strips at the 2½" edge Binding. Column Sew the columns together from left to right as illustrated in Example A Make (40) Set aside (20) for Set C. 3

Sew (1) Fabric C triangle to the lower left and upper right corners at the LONG edge to complete Set A at 6½" square as illustrated in the Finished Sets for Set A Make (20) Label Set A and set aside for use later. Step 3 Set C 14. Using the remaining pieces from Instruction No. 12 sew (1) Fabric I triangle just as done for Fabric C during Instruction No. 13 to complete Set C at 6½" square as illustrated in the Finished Sets for Set C Make (20) Label Set C and set aside for use later. Step 4 Set B Note: Refer to the illustration of the Finished Set B when sewing this set together. 15. Layer (1) Fabric H 2½" square onto (1) Fabric A 4½" at lower left corner and stitch on the drawn line trim ¼" past the drawn line to remove the excess fabric (Similar to the Snowball technique) Make (40). 16. Sew (1) Fabric D 4½" x 2½" rectangle to the top of the square just sewn at the 4½" edge with the triangle towards the bottom left Make (40) to measure 4½" x 6½" Set aside for now. 17. Sew (1) Fabric A 2½" square to (1) Fabric E 2½" x 4½" rectangle at the 2½" edge to measure 2½" x 6½", the sew to the right side of the rectangles from Instruction No. 16 as illustrated in the Finished Set B to measure 6½" square Make (40) Label Set B and set aside for use later. Finished Sets 19. Sew (2) of the rectangles just completed together at the 12½" edge rotating the bottom rectangle so that Set A is in the UPPER left and LOWER right corners as illustrated in the Finished Blocks Block A Make (10) Label Block A and set aside for use later. Block B: 20. Sew exactly the same as Block A except replace Set A with Set C Refer to the illustration in the Finished Blocks Block B Make (10) Label Block B and set aside for use later. Finished Blocks Blue Colorway Block A Step 6 Sewing the Blocks Together Block B 21. Sew the blocks together into rows rotating every other block as illustrated in Example B Block Layout there are (4) Blocks per row and (5) Rows Each row will measure 48½" x 12½". a. 5 Step 7 Adding the Borders 23. Sew (1) Fabric J 1½" x 60½" rectangle to the left and right sides, then sew (1) Fabric J 50½" x 1½" rectangle to the top and bottom to measure 50½" x 62½". 24. Sew (1) Fabric A 3¾" x 62½" rectangle to the left and right sides, then sew (1) Fabric A 57" x 3¾" rectangle to the top and bottom to finish the quilt top at 57" x 69" Step 8 Finishing the Quilt 25. Layer the backing, batting, and quilt top and quilt as desired. 26. Using Fabric F 2½" strips sew on the binding to finish the quilt. 5

Cut (7) strips at 3¾" x WOF Join all the strips together at the 3¾" edge then sub-cut into (2) 3¾" x 62½" rectangles (Left and Right Sides) and (2) 57" x 3¾" rectangles (Top and Bottom) Outer Border. 2. Fabric B O Orange Wave Texture Cut (3) strips at 2½" x WOF Sub-cut into (40) 2½" squares (20) for Set A and (20) for Set C. 3. Sew (1) Fabric C triangle to the lower left and upper right corners at the LONG edge to complete Set A at 6½" square as illustrated in the Finished Sets for Set A Make (20) Label Set A and set aside for use later. Step 3 Set C 14. Sew Set C exactly as done for Set A except replace Fabric G with Fabric H Replace Fabric C with Fabric I Make (20) as illustrated in the Finished Sets Set C and set aside for use later. Step 4 Set B and Set D Note: Refer to the illustration of the Finished Set B and D when sewing this set together. Set B: 15. Layer (1) Fabric G 2½" square onto (1) Fabric A 4½" at lower left corner and stitch on the drawn line trim ¼" past the drawn line to remove the excess fabric (Similar to the Snowball technique) Make (20). Block A: 19. Sew (1) of Set A with Fabric B towards the inside to (1) of Set B with Fabric A 4½" square towards the center to measure 12½" x 6½" Make (20). 20. Sew (2) of the rectangles just completed together at the 12½" edge rotating the bottom rectangle so that Set A is in the UPPER left and LOWER right corners as illustrated in the Finished Blocks Block A Make (10) Label Block A and set aside for use later. Block B: 21. Sew exactly the same as Block A except replace Set A with Set C and Set B with Set D Refer to the illustration in the Finished Blocks Block B Make (10) Label Block B and set aside for use later. Finished Blocks Orange Colorway 16. Sew (1) Fabric D 4½" x 2½" rectangle to the top of the square just sewn at the 4½" edge with the triangle towards the bottom left Make (20) to measure 4½" x 6½" Set aside for now. 17. Sew (1) Fabric A 2½" square to (1) Fabric E 2½" x 4½" rectangle at the 2½" edge to measure 2½" x 6½", the sew to the right side of the rectangles from Instruction No. 16 as illustrated in the Finished Set B to measure 6½" square Make (20) Label Set B and set aside for use later. Set D: 18. Sew Set D exactly as done for Set B except replace Fabric G with Fabric H Make (20) Label Set D and set aside for use later. Step 7 Adding the Borders 24. Sew (1) Fabric J 1½" x 60½" rectangle to the left and right sides, then sew (1) Fabric J 50½" x 1½" rectangle to the top and bottom to measure 50½" x 62½". 25. Sew (1) Fabric A 3¾" x 62½" rectangle to the left and right sides, then sew (1) Fabric A 57" x 3¾" rectangle to the top and bottom to finish the quilt top at 57" x 69" Step 8 Finishing the Quilt 26. Layer the backing, batting, and quilt top and quilt as desired. 27. Using Fabric G 2½" strips sew on the binding to finish the quilt.
