5 Optional loop for hanging: Cut one length of each color 72 inches long. Hold the cut ends in one hand and your index finger of the other hand in the loop at the other end. Turning your finger like a propeller, twist the pieces together very tightly until they start to coil up on themselves. Carefully bring the ends together (you can use another person or your lips to grab the middle of the cord), then carefully tie a knot at the open ends. With a large tapestry needle, thread the loop through the top of the cuff at the back of the sock. Knot the ends together and trim. Elizabeth Bartlett knitassistant@gmail.com 5
