4 , CONSTRUCTION MAIN BODY. The top section is a onc piece casting mounted on tl heavy gauge fabricated steel sub-base. This assembly rests on heavy cast-iron feet giving adequate area for stability under all working conditions. THE TABLE. The table is in two sections. Table to right of saw is a fixed unit. It is of deep section. with scientifically positioned ribbing on the underside to prevent springing or warping. Table to left of saw is mounted on a slide. The mo\"cmcnt is on two rods and four ball bearing gnx)\"cd rollers. The tracks arc of special steel 10 give long life. When wear takes place through constant usc, this is even all round the track and is readily taken up by simple screw adjustment on the rollers. Sliding table draws back to gi\'c access to the saw. Both rabies arc ground to precision limits for accuracy and smooth finish. EXTENSION TABLES. Extension tables as illustrated can be supplied to order. All machines are prepared to receivc these extcnsions which can bc either supplied with the machine or fitted later. SAW GUARD AND RIVING KNIFE. These are mounted from within the framc so that no o\'crhanging support is required. Both knife and guard arc rigid and cant with the saw. Simple but effectivc fitting permits quick removal when trenching or grooving. RIPPING FENCE movcs on two precision ground circular section guidc bars. A single lever opcrated cam-lock with exclusive alignment feature secures the fence to the bars in one movement. The from bar is accurately graduated for quick setting, and has fine screw adjustment. CROSS CUTTING AND MITRING FENCES. The machine is proddcd with a set of two cross-cut fences and a mitre gauge as illustrated, secured either by means of the lee-slot on the sliding table or by holes accurately drilled in the table surface. SAW SPINDLE is made from alloy stecl and is accurately ground. It is fitted with large saw Ranges and is moumed on " Sealed for Life" bcarings which require no lubrication. Rise and fall movement and canting motions arc by wol'm and gearcd quadrant operatcd by large and convenicntly placcd handwheels with eflkicnt locks. A graduated scale shows the angle of cant. DRIVE from motor to thc saw spindle is by three short centre vee belts. lensioning is pro\'ided.
