2 Measuring and Cutting to Length Measure the length of each Plexineon fixture in each run. Using this number add an additional 1/2 for each fixture. The total will be the length needed for the Recessed Housing Extrusion run. The Recessed Housing Extrusion is meant to be cut in the field, if the extrusion needs to be cut to size a non-ferrous metal cutting saw blade must be used. Extrusion can be mitered in the field to create corners. 2

3 Joining Extrusion Alignment Pin Extrusion Alignment Pin To create continuous runs, insert allignment pins into grooves to join two segments and hammer into place. Repeat on opposite side. Insert End Plate End Plate Extrusion End Plate End Plate Screw Attach end plates to extrusion with end plate screws. NOTE: Each Recessed Housing Extrusion run needs two end plates. 3

5 Wire Entry Strain Relief To Fixture To Power Supply Extrusion The Plexineon Recessed Mount Sytem has been designed for use with either privided strain relief or conduit. If using strain relief: Drill or punch 5/16 hole into extrusion. Clamp strain relief to wire. Snap strain relief into hole. If using conduit fitting ( not provided ) Drill or punch hole according to conduit fitting size. Insert fitting into hole and tighten nut. 5

6 Preparing Recessed Channel for Surface Finishing Paint Mask Insert paint mask into channel to protect extrusion during wall/surface finishing. Drywall Installation Flush Plaster Trim Measure length of extrusion and cut flush plaster trim to the same size, you will need to do this on both sides of the extrusion. Flush Plaster Trim Cut a small piece of flush plaster trim for each end plate. Apply drywall adhesive to back of the flush plaster trim, make sure trim does not overlap the paint mask. 6

7 Concrete, Stone or Marble Installation Grout housing to surrounding surface Directly fill gap between extrusion and surface with grout. Molding Trim Installation Plaster Trim Installation Glue trim to wall surface at opening Glue trim to wall surface and feather to surrounding area 7

8 Preparing Plexineon Fixtures for Installation Spacer Pad Attach one spacer pad to the end of each fixture. 8' Mounting Clips 18.00" 2.00" Use provided glue to affix nylon clips to Plexineon fixtures. Plexineon Length and amount of clips: Plexineon Length Amount of Clips clip every 18 Nylon clips should be placed 2 from the end of each fixture. Remove paint mask. 8

9 Wiring To Power Supply Lever - Nuts Connect fixture to wire leads using lever - nuts. Note: Consider wire polarity - black with white stripe is positive and black wire is negative. Note: See Plexineon for installing power supplies and connecting the plexineon fixtures. Fixture Clip Positioning Bullnose Exposed Bullnose Semi-Recessed Bullnose Flush Insert fixture into Recessed Housing Extrusion and snap into desired position. Once fixture is in place, use provided tool to adjust or remove fixture if necessary. 9
