Warranty CONSUMER PRODUCTS WARRANTY INFORMATION This Gorilla Rack product (exclusive of shelves) is warranted to the original purchaser. If there is failure of product due to defects in material and workmanship, Rapid Rack will without charge and upon proof of purchase, repair/ replace at our own discretion. Warranty is void if product is subject to misuse, abuse, alteration, improper assembly, accident, if used for other than designated purpose or if maximum load capacities are exceeded. This warranty is not transferable and does not cover chipping, flaking, scratches, rust, dents, or other damages to finish or surface of the product. Responsibility of Rapid Rack Industries Inc. is limited to repair or replacement of product. The particle board decks should be sealed with a water proof sealant or paint when used in humid environment to prevent mold. 1. Use some type of lubricant to ease the joining of the angle posts and beams. 2. Use a cloth or wood block to protect the surface finish of the product when using a hammer. 3. Rivets must seat at the bottom of the keyhole slot. Hitting the flat section of Z- beam assists. 4. Assemble the unit on a sturdy and level surface. Avoid assembly on carpet. 5. Load small stable items on the top shelves, heavier and bulkier items should be stored on the lower shelves page 1

3 GRZ OVERVIEW WORKBENCH Workbench Assembly Instructions To facilitate assembly we recommend having two persons assemble the workbench. 4 GRZ PRIMARY END ASSEMBLY WORKBENCH Step 1 - End Assembly Start the End Assembly by joining an 18" Z-beam into the two bottom keyholes of a 36" angle post. Install the Z-beam in the upright position (refer to details). Drive the rivets to the bottom of the keyhole by hitting the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet locking the pieces together. Repeat by adding a second 36" angle post creating an End Assembly. 4 th 2 nd 5 th 3 rd 1 st Step 2 - Primary Unit Assembly Assemble a 48" Z-beam to the bottom two keyholes of the End Assembly. Assure all Z-beams are assembled in the upright position. Hit the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet to lock pieces together. Add an additional 48 Z-beam, two 18 Z-beams and two 36 angle posts to the assembly. Follow the order 1 st through 5 th shown in the drawing to facilitate the assembly. Note: Hit the beams near the joints to lock the pieces into place page 3

5 GRZ PRIMARY END ASSEMBLY WORKBENCH Step 3 - Adding top Z-beam Insert two 18 and two 48 Z-beam to the top keyholes of the angle posts. Hit the beams near the joints with a rubber mallet to lock pieces together. Add two additional 18 and two 48 Z-beams to create a shelf at desired level. Assure all Z-beams are assembled in the upright position. ADD ON UNIT WORKBENCH 7th and 8th keyhole Step 4 - Add-On Unit End Assemblies. Start by assembling two 36" angle post and two 18" Z-beams. Install all Z-beams in the upright position. Assemble the first 18" Z- beam into the top two keyholes of the angle posts. The second 18" Z-beam must be assembled at the 7 th and 8 th keyholes from the bottom of the angle posts. Hit the beam near the joints with a rubber mallet to lock pieces together. Repeat for the opposite end assembly. Step 5 - Completing the Add-On Unit Complete the Add-On Unit by adding two 48" Z-beams at the top keyholes of the angle posts. Insert two 48" Z-beams into the 7 th and 8 th keyholes from the bottom of the angle posts (refer to detail). Install the Z- beams in the upright position. Hit the beams near the joint with a rubber mallet to lock joints into place page 4

6 GRZ SHELF ASSEMBLIES Step 6 - Shelf Decks At this step you should have both frames assembled. Lay the shelf decks in upon the Z-beams (refer to details below). Be sure all the Z-beams are assembled in the upright position. WORKBENCH Shelf Deck Flat edge on top. Upright Position (Z-beams) Step 7 - Joining the Frames (Optional Step) To secure the frames together align the the four middle angle posts of the frames (refer to details). Start with the two back middle angle posts. Align the indents on the Post Clips and two keyholes of the back middle angle posts. Firmly clamp together a Post Clip and the two angle posts (refer to detail on right). Repeat step to clamp the two front middle angle posts. Note: To remove Post Clips use a screwdriver. Step 8 - Post Caps Add post caps to the top angle posts. Congratulations on your completed workbench! page 5

8 GRZ BOTTOM ASSEMBLY STORAGE RACK Step 1 - Bottom End Assembly Start the Bottom End Assembly by inserting an 18" Z-beam into the two bottom keyholes of two 36" angle posts. Install Z-beam in the upright position. Drive the rivets to the bottom of the keyhole by hitting the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet locking the pieces together. 4 th 2 nd 5 th 3 rd 1 st Step 2 - Bottom Frame Assembly Assemble a 48" Z-beam to the bottom two keyholes of the End Assembly. Assure all Z-beams are assembled in the upright position. Hit the beam near the joint with a rubber mallet to lock pieces together. Add an additional 48 Z-beam, two 18 Z-beams and two 36 angle posts to the assembly. Follow the order 1 st through 5 th shown in the drawing to facilitate the assembly. Note: Hit the beams near the joints to lock the pieces into place page 7

9 GRZ TOP ASSEMBLY STORAGE RACK Step 3 - Top End Assembly Start the Top End Assembly by joining an 18" Z-beam into the top two keyholes of two 36" angle posts. Assure the Z-beam is in the upright position. Hit the beam near the joints to lock pieces together (refer to details). Repeat step for the opposite side Top End Assembly. Step 4 - Joining Assemblies Before joining the Top End Assembly to the Bottom Frame Assembly insert Post Inserts into the angle posts on the Bottom Frame Assembly (refer to detail above). Assemble the Top End Assembly on to the Post Insert (refer to detail below). Repeat step for the opposite Top End Assembly page 8

10 GRZ REINFORCING STORAGE RACK Step 5- Reinforcing Mid Section Add a 18 Z-beams to mid section at the joint as shown below. Insert the top rivet of the Z-beam into the bottom keyhole of the Top End Assembly. Insert the bottom rivet of the Z-beam into the top keyhole of the Bottom Frame Assembly. Install all Z-beams in the upright position. With rivets in keyholes hit the beam near the joints to lock pieces together. Repeat step to add an additional 18 and two 48 Z-beams. Step 6- Reinforcing Top Section Add two additional 48 Z-beams to top two keyholes of the angle posts (see details). Install the Z-beams in the upright position. Assure to have the rivets in the keyholes before hitting the beams near the joints to lock the pieces together page 9

11 GRZ COMPLETION STORAGE RACK Step 7 - Shelves Assemble the remaining 18" and 48" Z-beams to your desired location on the angle post to create two additional shelves. Assure to install the Z-beams in the upright position (see detail). Hit the beams near the joints to lock pieces together. Flat edge on top. Upright Position (Z-beams) Step 8 - Shelf Decks Lay the shelf decks in between the Z-beams (refer to detail below). Assure the Z-beams are assembled in the upright position (see detail above). Shelf Deck Z-beams Step 9 - Post Caps Add the Post Caps to the top of the corner angle posts as shown in the detail. Congratulations on your completed storage rack! page 10
