3 Veneered boards as easy to process as melamine boards 03 Shinnoki offers a range of ready-to-use veneer panels for building and interior design projects. These panels do not require any extra finishing and they come in designs which are completely in tune with the current design trends so you will always achieve a stunning, warm and timeless result. The veneer is applied to a MDF base, rendering the panels sturdy and easy to use. Shinnoki exists in both a single or double sided version, with the first having a reverse side in either white or dark melamine (see the table on page 36-37). There are hardly any application limitations, thanks to the wide choice in the Shinnoki range going so much further than Standard panels. Matching edgebandings, for instance, are also available, in several widths and heights. Even better: the 16 Shinnoki designs exist in separate 3 ply veneer sheets, perfect for doors or other interior elements. Moreover, 8 of the Shinnoki designs come in veneered flooring (PAR-KY). The Mixmatch technique is what makes Shinnoki so unique: the end result is a smooth surface without any noticeable joints. Each panel is different, but still perfectly matches another. 6 06 For these kitchens, we used DUSK FRAKÉ. Water resistant edgebandings made out of ABS reinforce the panels and simultaneously protect them against damp (e.g. a built-in dishwasher). Shinnoki is best applied vertically; however using Shinnoki for less extensively used horizontal surfaces is also possible. This table was constructed with angle cuts: easily done thanks to the Shinnoki MDF core.

35 STANDARD LINE ZERO LINE Wood, a natural product par excellence. Shinnoki is wood, a natural material, which immediately brings warmth, cosiness and authenticity to mind. The veneer technique and the Mixmatch jointing technique ensure this sustainable material is used optimally, resulting in maximum yield levels. By centralising production in 1 plant, which also complies with the strictest environmental regulations, expensive and polluting transport is avoided. For the lacquers, Decospan selects the most environmentally friendly product without any harmful emissions. Wood is bought from suppliers who also subscribe to sustainable forestry. Linked with PEFC certified MDF bases, this completes the green philosophy by which Shinnoki is manufactured. Shinnoki s ZERO LINE goes even further when it comes to ecology and environmental health. The Zero Line complies with the strictest norms for air quality, since at no time during the production process, no urea-formaldehyde is added. The basic panel consists of 18 mm MDF, FSC certified (mixed 70%) and manufactured without formaldehyde containing glues. In most instances, the veneer wood also is FSC certified controlled wood. Some kinds of wood however are not available as FSC wood, in which case only the MDF is FSC wood (see the table below). 38 TECHNICAL INFO DESCRIPTION SHINNOKI (ZERO) is a range of ready-to-use veneer panels, coloured and lacquered, requiring no extra finishing. The veneer has been jointed using the Mixmatch technique in order to achieve a more uniform quality, and is available in 16 exclusive, trendy colours. Matching edgebanding is available as well. The ABS colour matches the colour of the veneer. CORRECTION PENS Correction pens for small corrections on the panels or borders are available in all colours of the Shinnoki range. APPLICATION Shinnoki is only suitable for interior use. MAINTENANCE TIPS Shinnoki panels have been finished with 6 resistant layers of PU lacquer and are easy to maintain. Regular maintenance is limited to dusting with a soft, dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth can be used, however, be careful not to use too much water. For fluid spillages, we advise you to immediately dry these to avoid staining. For stubborn stains, a soft detergent can be used, however, do not use a cleaning solution based on acetone or ethyl butyl acetate, since these can cause irreversible staining. Wax and oils also can damage the surface. Should little scratches occur, then you can use our special Seal spray. On using this spray, you actually apply an extra layer of lacquer, filling in the scratches so that no further dust can penetrate. Only use the Shinnoki spray, since this offers the best bond with the Shinnoki base lacquer. Read the user guide on the can attentively. To treat colour variances, we have developed a Shinnoki correction pen and lacquer pen. The correction pen is available in 3 colours and matches perfectly for the whole Shinnoki collection.
