Our décor names are straight forward and the finish available noted under each swatch on the relevant range page. All decors are available as 3050 x 1220 with many also as 3660 x 1525 and 2440 x different wood effects with a variety of different finishes including several in a beautiful high-gloss. We also now offer a range of 10 decors specifically for walls and doors. 4 How it works MAIN OFFICE FLOOR Groun SC No LOCATION: Birmingham Quality Fabrication ABS Edging Applications Altofina high pressure laminates fully comply with the requirements of BS EN 438, NEMA LD3, ISO 4586 parts 1 and 2, including abrasion, impact, moisture resistance, postformability, tensile strength, safety of installation and ease of maintenance. All Gloss, Tuff Gloss, Metallic and Black & White ranges have a protective foil to reduce the risk of scratching during fabrication and installation. In addition, a protective foil is applied on all textured Plain Colours with an LRV value of 30 or less. The foil can be easily removed either before or after the installation is complete. Altofina can be bonded to various grades and thicknesses of chipboard, MDF, metal, mineral, lightweight honeycomb and other substrates to create a rigid panel. All décor ranges, with the exception of the Metals range, are available in postforming grade allowing both flat and curved applications for projects that need seamless shapes. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a thermally resistant thermoplastic and is highly impact resistant. ABS edging can be bonded to the edges of Altofina panels to provide additional impact resistance and it colour matches all of Altofina's design ranges. ABS edging is suitable for flat panel edging as well as internal and external radii. It has excellent end of life disposal characteristics. 5 Plain Colours Add a splash to your room From vivid spectrum to calm neutral, our colours will give you vast expanses of perfectly level, solid and consistent colour with a variety of textures. Within our plain colours range we have two additional subsections: our Tuff Gloss and Black & White ranges. Tuff Gloss A gloss finish will of course make the depth of colour more vivid. This is a great visual result, but standard gloss HPL shows scratching more easily than textured HPL. That is why Tuff Gloss has a special hardwearing coating to provide additional protection to the surface of the laminate. Each Tuff Gloss colour also has a removable protective foil. The laminate has all the technical performance qualities of standard HPL. Black & White Our monochromatic Black & White range share 5 textures which reflect light from the laminate surface in distinctive ways. Each texture gives the designer the opportunity to make a refreshingly stark visual statement.

14 Abstracts A new reality Coloured glass, concrete, steel, oxidized stone and even woven cloth have all been given a new lease of life with some superb simulations of the real thing. The beauty of this process of replication is that (unlike the originals) the look of these diverse materials can be used as a decorative surface that is water proof, hygienic, low cost and easy to install and maintain.

When post forming it is advisable to remove this coating from the area being heat treated. LRV value All plain colours have a Light Relfectance Value (LRV) this is the amount of visible light that a colour will reflect. Döllken ABS Edging An ABS colour matched edging material. ABS is a more environmentally friendly version of PVC. ABS Döllken can be bonded to the edges of panels to colour match the decorative laminate panel surface. The panel edges also gain from the impact resistance that 2mm thick Döllken offers. Available in 75metre x 23mm x 2mm. NCS, RAL and BS Colours All plain colours have a corresponding NSC, RAL and BS number, these are the closest matches.

20 About Us 2018 LAMINATE COLLECTION Sample Service Please call us to order: - USB drive: a data drive containing high-res images of all decors in the range. These images can also be downloaded from altofina.co.uk - Swatch Chart: this shows actual laminate samples including the surface finish. Enviromental Policy Altofina is manufactured using environmentally sound production techniques. Paper represents 65% of the product. The renewable paper is formed from softwoods which are either obtained from recycled sources or from sustainably managed forests. 35% of the product consists of synthetic resins which are not damaging to ecological systems and produce an end product which is completely safe, hygienic and approved for contact with food. 65% of Altofina decors have achieved FSC accreditation. These decors are identified on the availability chart. We are working towards having all Altofina decors accredited with FSC as soon as possible. The Altofina woodgrain range achieves the look and feel of real timber, thereby avoiding the need to cut down rare and exotic species. The UK and Ireland distributor of Altofina is Blackheath Products Ltd, which is an accredited FSC and PEFC chain of custody supplier.
