The machines can be supplied as CNC boring mills T 110 or as a machining center TC 110 with automatic tool changer or automatic pallett changer. Power: 22 KW-SI; 27 KW resp. increased Power: 30 KW-SI; 33 KW P mot (Nm) M Sp Main bearing system The precision spindle bearings are fitted in a large dimensioned none moveable quill which is mounted in the headstock housing. This design enabled a projected front bearing of the boring spindle 300 mm outside of the casting and is the guarantee for a high cutting performance in the main working range of the machine. The system is prepared for coolant through the spindle which can be supplied in different versions (optional) range 1 range 1 Power torque diagram of the UNION T/TC range 2 range n Sp -1 (min ) Machining with most modern tooling requires a much higher cutting performance of the machine tools. UNION offers you a much higher torque at a range where it s really necessary for the cutting process - at speeds higher than 200 rpm. Headstock with detachable CNC-facing head D Andrea The machine can be supplied with a CNC controlled facing head which will be swiviled-in and fitted on a headstock mounted camlock flange. The head allows the machining of large, external diameters, bores, flange faces, ring slots, tapers and other contours. During automatic mode, the NC facing slide combined with other axes, offers an extensive application range.

6 Precision and Reliabiliy - Made in Germany - the typical features of a UNION Horizontal Boring Mill Quality test The manufacturing and machining quality inspection and the acceptance test of all machines are based upon Union s quality assurance system which in turn is based upon DIN and ISO standards. Accuracy and performance tests of the boring and milling operations are carried out using a test component. Written record of machine s accuracy is provided in the form of a protocol. 7 Special accessories / Options Support bearing for heavy duty operations with extended boring spindle total length 465 mm, supporting length 365 mm Compact coolant unit 1 Coolant is supplied via separately controlled jet pipes. It is returned for recycling via the chip conveyor (not included in the basic version) into the compact unit for filtration and piped back into the system. Flow volume 30l/min with 3 jet pipes or Compact coolant unit 3 30 l/min with adjustable pump and 3 jet pipes at 3 bar pressure and appropriate filtration. Milling heads with automatic positioning On request UNION can supply vertical- and universal milling heads with Hirth-coupling (1 ) as well as 2-axes NC-milling head with continuously swivelling axes. Adapter for special accessory for milling spindle version To accomodate support bearings, vertical and universal milling heads etc. Can also be supplied for automatic head changing. Universal milling attachment Manual setting of certain angles in both planes according a calculation table. Coolant through boring spindle An additional high pressure coolant circuit together with a fine filter is installed on the compact coolant unit and ensures coolant supply to the cutting tool. Flow volume 30 l/min at 13,5 bar (higher pressure possible). Safety precautions The machine will be supplied with a CE approved enclosure, a safety door with windows at the operator stand - electrical interlocked. Further necessary safety equipment has to be defined in line with the local conditions at the customer site and the legality of the country and has to be installed before commissioning. An access to the working area of the machine for setting-up is ensured.
