1 Maier ML20D - Technical Details for illustration purposes only Maier CNC Swiss Type Lathe ML20D ProLine Machine concept & construction The machine base of all the Maier ProLine CNC Sliding Headstock Machines are produced from Polymer Concrete. The Polymer Concrete is cast at only 50 centigrade and is fully hardened within 24 hours, requiring no age hardening process. Polymer concrete is renowned for its extreme resistance to distortion and vibration. The heavy machine base of approx. 2 tons absorbs and eliminates any remaining vibration. All Maier machines are made in Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Main and Sub Spindle with Full 'C' Axis. Main and Sub Spindle mechanically lockable at 5 increments. Sub Spindle with 3.7/1.1 KW (60%/100%) power. Up to 18 standard tooling positions. (Can be increased by options.) With 8 driven tool stations. - 4 off radial, 4 off axial for working at the main spindle. (Can be increased by options.) 32 M/min. Rapid traverse rate in all axes. Electronic hand wheel. Stable, Vibration free machine bed made from polymer concrete composite. Two coolant pumps with 1.5 bar pressure and delivery rate 240 l/min. Synchronous driven guide bush. Collet chuck for both Main & Sub spindles. Pneumatic parts ejector for sub spindle, with through collet air blast. Parts catcher and conveyor for transporting the work piece out of the machining area. Warning / Indicator light - three coloured. Central Lubrication with oil level monitor.
