We have also thoroughly tested the efficacy of real-money wagering in our esportsbook for both the UK and Australia. Two years ago, we created a token called Unikoin. Users love Unikoin because it gives them an opportunity to bet on esports, ladder up and win prizes in markets where Unikrn is not yet licensed to conduct real-money wagering. We ve spent the past two years honing this product and enhancing the user experience. With over a quarter of a billion Unikoins turned over to date, we feel it s time to take the platform to the next level by introducing our cryptocurrency: UnikoinGold. Our investors are excited about this coin offering and they re putting their weight behind it however, we are saving room for the crypto community and our userbase. 3 Abstract We will describe a custom cryptocurrency coin called UnikoinGold that is designed as a decentralized ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain utilized for and allowing for the exchange and interchange of a virtual point-based reward system for the purpose of legal and licensed betting on esports matches, tournaments and other engagement around gaming. UnikoinGold will also be used as a rewards and incentive token for esports participants, players and teams. The coin will be an entry to a new version of the existing Unikrn spectator betting system, and it will also become the exclusive token used on a new skill-based betting platform. UnikoinGold will power the most immersive live-betting platform for esports. Our intention: the coin will serve as a decentralized proxy of value creating a decentralized, community-driven virtual economy. That economy will increase in turnover based on our new skill platform, live betting experience and global expansion of an exclusive token betting esports platform. Trades will be executed by a system of Ethereum smart contracts that are publicly accessible and that will be open and transparent to the network. The transfer of UnikoinGold into bonus Raffle Tickets on our platform will not impose any cost or fee to the users or arbitrarily extract value during the conversion from the crypto-coin into the tickets, thus having a zero cost transaction model for the conversion. UnikoinGold transferred into our site from an external wallet will be subject to the small fees imposed by the Ethereum ecosystem upon a token transfer.

5 UNIKRN GOLD: CRYPTOCURRENCY COIN MODEL 5 Introduction to Esports The competitive video game industry, more commonly known as esports, is the largest phenomenon of which many have never heard. Having transitioned from a marketing engine for games into an independently monetized set of spectator sports, esports are now garnering investment from traditional sports teams, selling out stadiums around the world and attracting tens of millions of viewers. The esports market is young (55% of fans are between 21-35), valuable (average household income of $76,000) and experiencing explosive growth throughout the west (76% growth in the number of US esports fans from 2015 to 2016). As the global market for esports has grown, the market for esports wagering has exploded. With a CAGR of 141% from 2013 through 2016, regulated esports wagering has easily outpaced growth rates of all other regulated online gambling products all while facing significant competition from illegal and unregulated skin gambling sites. Esports are now a fixture at nearly all traditional online bookmakers, where annual esports handle is rivaling that of sports such as hockey, rugby and golf1. That s all the more impressive when you consider that traditional bookmakers lack expertise in marketing to esports fans, are only offering limited markets on a small selection of matches and are restricting typical betting limits well below those allowed for stick-and-ball sports. Experts expect esports wagering to match or exceed the broader growth in the esports industry. Research from Eilers & Krejcik Gaming projects that regulated sportsbook-style wagering on esports matches will, in a base case, generate $11.5 billion in handle by 2020, with a bull case calling for $16.4 billion in handle. The growing number of users and teams competing in games has led to an increased number of bets placed and a record amount of intranetwork currency transferred. Unikrn s current economic system allows users to earn Unikoins through a variety of tasks as well as by wagering on competitions. These Unikoins can then be exchanged for a raffle ticket on Unikrn s internal market for a chance at winning a reward. As wagers grow in volume and the magnitude of bets increase, users of the system have begun to desire additional forms of liquidation in order to give their risks more tangible value. The recent debut of ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain has paved the way for a new cryptoeconomic model that mutually benefits all parties involved in the transfer of the tokens. 7 7 The Unikrn Model: Esports Wagering on the Blockchain Advantages of the Blockchain The current Unikrn model provides users the ability to liquidate their Unikoins through the Unikrn raffle market. However, betting laws limit Unikoin functionality to exist solely within the Unikrn system. The proposed ERC20 token, UnikoinGold, will give users more power and alternative methods of turning over their earnings. An ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain offers additional functionality that is seldom found on a centralized token ecosystem. Users will have to be able to freely trade purchased UnikoinGold on an open market, due to both the decentralized nature of ERC20 token and the recent listings of these tokens on cryptocurrency listings. The market-variable exchange rate will be reflective of the value of the token at any given time and gives a holder of these tokens the ability to choose the value to potentially liquidate their holdings by trading them on an exchange. Cryptoeconomic Model Cryptoeconomic models create financial incentives that drive a network of rational economic agents to coordinate their behavior towards the completion of a process or goal. The value of UnikoinGold is derived from the utility and turnover of the token itself from within the Unikrn platform as well as the speculative value of the token on the free market. It is also driven by the scarcity of UnikoinGold. UnikoinGold vs UnikoinSilver In parallel to UnikoinGold which will become our cryptocurrency we will launch UnikoinSilver to take the place of the former Unikoin within our ecosystem. Users will be able to earn, bet and compete using UnikoinSilver anywhere Unikrn operates in the world. UnikoinSilver also offers various functionality throughout our site including the ability to acquire raffle tickets to win prizes such as in game skins, pots of UnikoinGold, hardware and yet unlaunched features. 11 11 Token Storage Practices Safe storage of the UnkoinGold tokens and the integrity of the market is one of our chief concerns. Our priority is to protect the holders of the tokens as well as the users of our site from any unauthorized access or malicious intent. A majority of the unsold tokens not required for the operations of Unikrn will be stored in several distinct multisignature cold storage vaults, which is the safest way to store tokens of this nature. Cold storage methods are practiced by many entities with large holdings and has a proven track record in reducing or eliminating the risk of loss of coins. These holdings will not be susceptible to cyberattacks as they will be held majority offline at all times. All code we produced will undergo thorough auditing by our team, as well as a third-party auditor for sensitive pieces of code. All token sale related code will be rigorously reviewed as to ensure a safe and smooth distribution of tokens and leave no room for bad actors to intervene. To the extent we can, we intend to make all of our token storage practices auditable and available to the community. It is our priority that the community be empowered to safely manage their tokens. 14 14 Team Unikrn Core Management Rahul Sood, Co-Founder and CEO Prior to Unikrn, Rahul Sood created the first incubation fund for startups at Microsoft. Microsoft later consolidated their global startup activities under Sood s leadership. In June 2013, he launched Microsoft Ventures. A serial entrepreneur, Sood spent 18 years in multiple startups prior to joining Microsoft. He founded luxury and gaming computer manufacturer Voodoo, which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard. Voodoo brought the ENVY and OMEN product lines to HP, contributing advanced technologies such as commercial liquid cooling and an increased focus on design. With a deep background in video gaming and entertainment, Sood sits on the board of advisors for Razer, one of the largest gaming companies in the world. He is also an early investor and active advisor in Vrvana, a leading Mixed Reality hardware company based in Montreal, and also an active investor in New Jersey based Maingear PC (in which Unikrn has a large stake). Karl Flores, Co-Founder and CMO Karl Flores is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Unikrn. Karl serves as CMO and is instrumental to product development and innovation. 16 16 Shane Fontaine, Lead Engineer Shane is an engineer coming from some of the world s largest, most powerful defense industry companies such as Boeing and Raytheon. He created the Ethereum engineering meetup in Los Angeles in order to advance and grow the cryptocurrency developer community. He is also a founding member of the UCLA Blockchain Lab team and moderates many of the Ethereum related events in the Los Angeles area. Shane brings a depth of knowledge and understanding of Ethereum and smart contract that can only be attained through practical experience and the years of networking within the ecosystem that someone like him has. He has written many smart contracts and code in the Solidity language, and he provides the knowledge and experience of engineering and trading with the Ethereum blockchain to the team. Shane has years of experience in electrical engineering and an education from the University of San Diego and UCLA. Jeremy Rubin, Security Analysis Auditor Jeremy is a cryptocurrency expert on the team who analyzes our coin s design and performs our code audits, analysis, algorithmic design, performance engineering and protocol design reviews. He was deeply involved in Bitcoin as a software engineer on the core development team writing some of the most critical code for the protocol. He also co-founded Tidbit, the MIT Bitcoin Project, the MIT Digital Currency Initiative and acted as the first program chair of the Scaling Bitcoin conference Jeremy is rightfully considered one of the industry s foremost experts. 17 17 Marketing Traditional betting operators almost always have a high cost of acquisition to acquire new customers. This typically includes large expenditure on traditional advertising and sponsorship, with these costs recurring on a yearly basis. Unikrn s marketing model is wildly different. We operate a lean team focused on organic growth from within the community. Unikrn owns a network of Steam Powered gaming communities that reaches over 4 million unique gamers monthly. We use this network to spread offers and convert these gamers to active users of the Unikrn platform. Unikrn is also a significant player in the esports community. We have a significant stake in BIG, aka Berlin International Gaming, the best Counter-Strike:Global Offensive Team in Germany, and one of the top teams in the world. With a loyal and fast-growing fan base on social media, BIG often calls out Unikrn and we work together on communityfocused marketing initiatives. BIG s fanbase is growing, and they often wear our gear and promote our brand throughout their channels. We own a studio in our Berlin offices and will soon run regular esports content including interviews with the top players, a regular betting show and also livecasts of major esport tournaments. We run an esports news website covering the top stories across the major game titles, including League of Legends, CS:GO, Dota 2, Overwatch and Rocket League. Our team has established relationships with pro players, coaches and casters and leverages these relationships to obtain exclusive interviews to drive traffic to the Unikrn website and gain exposure for our brand. We ve generated significant media interest through our PR initiatives: world-renowned publications such as Fortune, Inc., TechCrunch and Forbes cover our major announcements. Unikrn recently acquired LEET, a company that built an in-game crypto betting platform and a number of other technologies to help land-based casinos operate their own esport tournaments. Through this acquisition Unikrn now has licensing contracts with casinos in Las Vegas and beyond. 18 18 Competition & Skin Betting Scams Skins are digital goods that exist within a video game. In some instances, game publishers allow skins to be traded on the open market, which has allowed a wide array of secondary businesses to emerge surrounding the skins ecosystem most notably skin betting. Some gambling sites use skins as a form of currency, offering bets on everything from match outcomes to the toss of a coin. These sites have exploded in popularity, yet they operate without any of the safeguards that are put in place to protect consumers in the licensed, regulated betting world. Over the last year, skin gambling sites have been forced to shut down or change their business models in the face of mounting pressure from game developers and law enforcement. One of the most recent iterations has been the emerging adoption of cryptocurrency as a deposit and withdrawal method, a shift that allows skin gambling sites to more readily accept player deposits while obscuring the nature of transactions from game publishers. Key facts about the skin gambling industry The volume of wagers is significant. According to research from Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, over $6 billion worth of skins were wagered on skin gambling sites in That s more than the total amount bet on sports in Nevada or the amount spent by fantasy sports players at DraftKings and FanDuel during the same period. There is no regulation. Unlike licensed online gambling sites such as PokerStars, Unikrn or William Hill, skin gambling sites are not licensed or monitored in any way, shape or form. That means there are no assurances that games are fair, no recourse for players if they feel they have been cheated and no protection for players should a site shut down and take player deposits with it. Underage gambling is a significant issue. Signing up for most skin gambling sites requires little more than signing in through your Steam account.
