3 Dota 2 Full Game GuiDe Dota 2 game guide Welcome to Dota 2 game guide! This game guide is not a heroes guide but it is a guide that will show you the basic skills that every player should know. Are ready to pwned all the noob players? So, let s get started! Notice: This game guide is for new Dota 2 players, middle level players and above should already know about this. 3

4 training or tutorial Click play at top menu and click training at left menu. In Dota 2, the training teach you the basic controls and movements of your hero. Also, you will learn how to use severals hero in Dota 2 in this training. Practices make perfect right? So, complete your training and come back here when you are ready for full match game. After this, you will learn more about Dota 2 basics that is not thought in the training session. 6

5 BasiC skill: placing WarDs aka WarDing There are two types of wards in Dota 2. At the left side is observer ward and the right side is sentry ward. Observer ward is used to give a small vision in your map while sentry ward is used to detect any invisble units or heroes. The red circle in the map above show the common spot for placing wards. Usually, we will use observer wards but sometimes, sentry ward is used to deward enemy wards or invisible units. The location near the river is important during early games because you can see if enemy heroes trying to gank you. Deward. By placing sentry at the place where you think enemy put their wards. Invisible hero also can be detected using sentry wards too. Wards can be placed anywhere except certain locations. It depends on situation where you need to put the wards. Usually, just place it at the common spot is enough. Other spots are optional. Tips: Don t waste your wards because buying wards has cooldown, so use it when needed. Another usage of wards is prevent pulling creep by the Dire by placing wards at the natural creeps camp. The creeps will not respawn because of your ward s vision. The rules of respawing creeps is spawn every minute when the camp is empty. So, yeah. Go to pulling creeps page for details. ;) Prevent pulling creeps on the Radiant side. 8

6 Dota 2 Full Game GuiDe BasiC skill: pulling Creeps Pulling creeps only at top (Dire side) and bottom (Radiant side). By pulling creeps, the puller can get extra gold and few exp but more importantly, it delayed the creeps at the lane. This will make the enemy heroes had a hard time farming near your tower Firstly, when the new creeps respawn, go to the natural creeps camp and wait for your own creeps getting nearer. DO NOT wait too near at the natural creeps camp because they might attack you. When your creeps getting near, (see picture, it should be around that spot), quickly attack that natural creeps. Run back to your lane while ignoring the attacks. Your creeps should see the natural creeps chasing you. If this happen, then you have succeed pulling creeps. :) At the Dire side, pulling creeps is much more easier than here. This is how it works. When your creeps back to its lane, the enemy creeps should reached your tower. The enemy heroes will have a hard time to farm near your tower and they will head back. This is the advantage for Radiant at the bottom lane, while the Dire at the top lane. :) 9
