Introduction Welcome to Autodesk SketchBook Mobile. Enjoy the same SketchBook desktop experience on your Android device with a professional-grade stroke engine, and produce stunning quality results. What is a gesture? It is a shortcut motion that uses one or two fingers to access a tool, change image orientation, zoom in, and more. Here is a list of gestures used in SketchBook Mobile: Undo Double-tap the bottom left corner. Redo Double-tap the bottom right corner. Clear layer Double-tap the top left corner. Fit to view Double-tap the top right corner. Zoom Scale Pinch the screen to zoom into the canvas. Then, expand the pinch to zoom out of the canvas. In Transform mode, pinch the screen to decrease the size of the image. Expand the pinch to increase the size of the image. Color Picker Tap-hold to get.

What is a marking menu? It is a hidden menu containing tools. To access it: Tap, then tap a brush or tool.

Sketching Drag your finger to start sketching. A default brush and color are used. Tap, then tap a brush from the marking menu. TIP For finer sketching control, see Zooming in and out. What is simulated pressure sensitivity? It is a property that makes lines get thinner and more transparent at the beginning and end of strokes. Fast Stroke Slow Stroke For example, the stroke of a default pencil fades at the tip. The speed of your stroke affects how long the fading portion is. In the Brush Editor, the Min and Max values for Size and Opacity drive this. Therefore, if Min is 2 pixels and Max is 8, the synthetic pressure will apply this range to the ends of strokes, based on the speed/ intensity of your strokes, creating what we call simulated pressure sensitivity.

Can I offset my cursor? Set the cursor to appear a short distance away from your finger to easily see where a stroke will appear. 1. Tap your Menu button. 2. Tap. 3. Swipe to Prefs. 4. Tap Use Offset Painting to turn it on. 5. Tap your Back button to return to the canvas. How do I smooth a stroke? Smooth a stroke by removing any wobbles in it. 1. Tap your Menu button. 2. Tap. 3. Swipe to Prefs. 4. Tap Smooth Brush to turn stroke smoothing on or off. NOTE With lower-end devices, turning Smooth Brush on may affect sketching performance. How do I create shapes? Use the Shape tools to create lines, as well as rectangular and circular shapes. 1. Tap, then tap a Shape tool. 2. Tap-drag to place and size the shape.

Drawing with symmetry Create symmetrical content quickly. 1. Tap, then. 2. Tap a brush or. 3. Start sketching. NOTE To turn Symmetry off, tap. Tap Symmetry: Stop Center to turn it on. 5. Tap your Back button to return to the canvas. What is the size of my canvas? Tap, then, then New.

For users of the Samsung Store SketchBook Pro for Galaxy Note Another way to sketch is to use the Samsung S Pen. SketchBook supports its pressure-sensitivity. S Pen with an erase is also compatible with SketchBook. In S Pen Mode, you can only sketch with S Pen. This is to prevent your fingers from leaving accidental strokes. You can still use your fingers to open the menu, pick different brushes, or do multi-touch gestures. Tap Change Settings to turn off Pen Mode. S Pen menu Press the S Pen button and hover close to the canvas to access the Pen Menu. Use it to quickly access the Color Picker or Eraser, share sketches, or send something to S Note. To turn this function off, tap your Home button > Prefs > Pen and toggle off Enable Pen Menu. Easy Clip Add images captured with the S Pen Easy Clip function to your sketch. In the Layer Editor, tap, then Import Photo > Gallery and select an Easy Clip image.

Importing There are two methods for importing images. For saved content or a new canvas 1. Tap, then. 2. Tap, then select Dropbox or Gallery. 3. Locate a sketch and tap it. The Fill tool floods a closed area with paint.

If a layer has enclosed areas (the area is surrounded by pixels of a different color), and you tap inside one of them, only that region is flooded with paint. If you tap outside an enclosed area, paint floods the outer area. Fill only floods the entire layer with paint if the layer is empty. Therefore, though you may see regions created on other layers, if you are on an empty layer, paint will completely flood the empty layer and ignore any pixels on other layers.
