2 General information With our vision Gaming is sport, we founded The Macedonian e-sport Federation, (hereinafter referred to as MeSF). MeSF is registered as a non-profit organization, first of this type in Macedonia. It has been founded by association of few other gaming associations, operating in the field of e-sports. Their mutual interest and goals brought them together and in 2009, MeSF begun its operations. Our mission is promotion of e- sport and making it equal to other physical and recognized sports. MeSF also organizes various e-sport events, with focus on World Cyber Games (WCG) national championship and Grand Final Participation. Macedonia is part of WCG since 2005, but MeSF takes over the organization in Since then, MeSF has organized 3 National finals and participated on 3 world championships and one European championship.

3 Starting in 2005, Macedonia is active participant in WCG. From 2005 until 2008, cyber club ENTERNET was host and organizer of the National Finals in Macedonia. From the very beginning, the interest with the gaming population was huge, and on the first ever finals, more than 200 participants competed in 4 different titles. The winners were part of the first ever Macedonian e- sports representation. The following year, 2006, the number of participants doubled. In cooperation with TV Show and magazine ENTER, we had the first ever National Final in e-sports broadcasted live on national TV. Besides the excellent media coverage and promotion of e-sports, we have achieved great media value for our sponsors. More than viewers watched the national final in 3 titles, and were witnesses of the selection of the 2 nd e-sport representation. In 2007, the number of participants was again bigger, but we also had more sponsors and beneficiaries. That same year, for the first time, the best e-sport players played friendly matches throughout the country, for preparation for the grand final. The grand final 2007 was in Seattle and it was vey difficult for our players, as we have lost all games and dropped few places in the overall statistic. Nevertheless, we have gained great experience. In 2008, more than 300 participants and 500 visitors were part of the 4 th national finals filling out the cyber club Enternet completely. This was a vey good signal that e-sports is developed in Macedonia and there is a need for institution for further development. The Grand Finals in Cologne, Germany, was the biggest ever Grand Final in e-sports history. The level of gaming was on a completely new level. Eurosport and other sport chanels broadcasted segments of the finals as it was real sport. This only confirms that WCG is the best and biggest e-sport event in the world.

4 2009 After 4 years, finally, an e-sports federation was formed in Macedonia. It was an institution responsible for the development of e-sports and its recognition as regular sport. Following the example of the modern and IT developed countries, we established the Macedonian e-sports Federation. As of 2009, MeSF is main organizer of the national finals in Macedonia. In partnership with T-Home and with great support from the City of Skopje, we had the biggest e-sport event in Macedonia. The mayor, Mr. Koce Trajanovski, was present at the press conference, as well as representatives from the Macedonian essport Federation and t-home. During those 3 days, more that 400 participants took part in the largest e-sport competition in Macedonia and few thousand spectators were introduced with the concept of e-sports and what it represents. The location of the event (the City square), the presence of the Mayor and the cooperation with T- Home attracted huge number of visitors and spectators. The Media coverage was unexpectedly great, most media were present and published statements about the event. Besides promotion of e-sports as a significant part of our future, the federation was also promoted to the public and was well accepted. Due to the bad economy, in 2009 we only participated in one discipline.

5 2010 The 6 th consecutive national qualifications were an event to remember. For the firs time, we had more than 60 teams participating in the event and more than spectators. The media presence resembled to a true poplar sport event. All national and local TV stations and newspapers were present and informed the public about what we do. At the press conference, besides the Mayor, Mr. Koce Trajanovski, the Director of the Agency for Youth and Sports, Mr Dime Spasov, was present and supported the event. Their presence and the popularity of e-sports contributed to have all media present at the event. Also, for the first time, the competition was broadcasted online live using fiber-optic connection from T-Home. Last year is also important and will be remembered for our fist team victory on the Grand Finals. Our e-sports representation has won the dual with Denmark, the favorite for the title. This is a historic victory for us and our team has earned the respect form other players and countries.
