With your help, we at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) try to make it Christmas for children all year round. From December to February, children in Quezon, Aurora, Isabela, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur, did not see Santa's sleigh. Instead, they saw trucks bringing clean shirts, pants, slippers, pots and pans, planting tools, notebooks, bags and toys to replace the ones they had lost in the typhoons and mud slides. In May, children in Davao del Sur joined art therapy workshops, helping them heal from the emotional wounds of armed conflict. In June, 100-book libraries arrived in over 300 public elementary schools, opening new worlds and possibilities. Toilets and water pumps were installed in nine public schools, providing clean water and a safe environment to schoolchildren.
