8 Endless by Amadiez O The last haircut I got, I met this hairdresser, a young, lively man with a kind disposition and a handsome appearance. I didn t know his name, but I knew him well enough to know that he was someone wonderful. What triggered this beginning was when he was helping me with the Internet, as I couldn t log into a server that seemed broken. And then, he and I ended up beginning a staggered conversation, with words released between the both of us at different intervals of time. Once, due to my lack of learning my native tongue, a period of silence fell upon us, once he had heard how I couldn t understand well. I blushed furiously. But later, he then asked another question of me and, internally frantic as I was, rushed to provide an answer that he would understand. I thought that he initiated the conversation again out of pity, since I had displayed looks of regret, disdain for myself showing upon my face as my eyes were closed, hoping to forget that I had talked to him in the first place. Yet somehow, with God s help, we maintained a steady parlor as questions bounced back and forth. After he started the conversation a second time, and after I had answered him that second time, a smile was placed upon my face, extremely ecstatic from the fact that he didn t stop talking to me. As a young, still-growing girl who still has a long way to go in life, after I had met him, I kept thinking a lot about him. He was like no other. I held disregard for me falling in love, thinking it was something foolish. I may never meet him again, and yet a photograph with the two of us lies within my computer s arsenal. But that time, just as I left him, as he was cleaning up, he continued to stare at me as I exited the place. I went out of that salon with a last glance at him, with a grin upon my face. And still, I continue to caress my newly-cut, smooth hair, and continue to look at that photograph. Page 8
