1 TV & RADIO LISTINGS GUIDE January 2019 PRIMETIME H appy New Year! I m glad you re here to enjoy some exciting television programs this month. NOVA presents fresh new episodes throughout January. We ll uncover new discoveries and beautiful imagery from the New Horizons spacecraft after it went Beyond Pluto on January 2. Then learn about groundbreaking research on Quantum Entanglement on January 9. Later in the month travel to Hawaii to investigate Kilauea s recent spike in activity on Island Volcano on January 23. WITF s newest documentary in the Pennsylvania Conservation Heritage series, Penn s Woods: Cradle of Conservation, examines the Commonwealth s rich environmental history and highlights the accomplishments and challenges we ve faced along the way. Catch the broadcast premiere January 17 at 8pm. Of course, Doc Martin is back! The good doctor is finally making house calls again in Portwenn in the all new season 8. It seems like forever since we ve seen new episodes. It was two years ago! Enjoy the crabby doctor Saturdays at 9pm through February. We welcome a new crime-solving duo this month with a brand-new series from BBC. WITF is proud to be among one of the first stations in the country to bring you Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators. The series set in Stratford-upon-Avon. Frank Hathaway and Lu Shakespeare join forces to tackle crimes in the not so peaceful home of the Bard. Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators solve crimes Thursdays at 9pm beginning January 3. The fearless Queen Victoria returns this month for a third season on MASTERPIECE. It s 1848, and revolution is breaking out across Europe. The Queen stands between order and chaos in MASTERPIECE: VICTORIA SEASON 3 Sundays at 9pm Starting on Jan. 13 DOC MARTIN IS BACK!
