1 TV & RADIO LISTINGS GUIDE February 2019 PRIMETIME In addition to the exciting new episodes we ve been enjoying this year from Antiques Roadshow, this month the series honors Black History Month with a special episode on February 4. Highlights include an 1821 U.S. citizenship certificate for George Barker, a free man of color; an African- American beauty book written by Madam C.J. Walker, the first American female millionaire. This special follows the premiere of another new episode February 4 at 9pm. I hope you re enjoying the newest season of Doc Martin. Season 8 began last month and will wrap up February 23. Be sure to catch the 9th and 10th episode airing on the same night. I wanted to conclude the series before we end the month. We ll replay this season of Doc Martin again soon. So in case you missed any portion of it, know it will reappear in the schedule later this year. Won t You Be My Neighbor premiered on the big screen in The film will make its way to your living room this month. Academy Award Winning Director Morgan Neville takes an intimate look at America s favorite neighbor: Fred Rogers. You won t want to miss this February 9 at 8pm. The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, or THON takes place this month. In recognition of this event in State College, we re bringing back a documentary produced by our colleagues at WPSU. Why We Dance: The Story of THON chronicles the student-run philanthropy, THON, and the children, families, and students who are changed by their experience. Catch an encore presentation February 11 at 9pm. I ve received a handful of comments from viewers who enjoyed the drama Jamestown and are looking for more. The first season premiered on WITF this SAMMY DAVIS, JR.: AMERICAN MASTERS February, 19 at 9pm Explore the entertainer s vast talent and journey for identity through the shifting tides of civil rights and racial progress during 20th-century America. Featuring Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, and clips from his TV, film and concert performances. WON T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR February, 9 at 8pm past fall. Jamestown follows the lives of three women as they wrestle with the challenges of creating a new life in a beautiful yet forbidding land. Another question I hear often from viewers is, When is A Place to Call Home coming back? I don t have an answer for you yet.
