2 NEW PROGRAMS TERM 3 Ethics Matters Secondary Level Ethics Thursdays am from 31 August 12 x 12 minutes In twelve short films, philosopher Dr Dan Halliday introduces some of the world's top philosophers who talk about ethics. Episodes include Consequences, My Rights, Our Society, Free Expression, Shaping Our Bodies, Forgive or Punish?, Ethical Consumption, Past Injustices, Religious Diversity, Creating Borders, Animals and The Environment. JUNK: Flying Fruit Fly Circus Upper Primary - Lower Secondary Thursday 31 August, 10.40am 50 minutes Direct from the Sydney Opera House, viewers can watch a performance by the highly acclaimed Flying Fruit Fly Circus. Set in a 1940's junkyard, trash is transformed into a playground full of adventure and make believe with jaw dropping acrobatics and world class circus skills from the cast of year old artists. 3 NEW PROGRAMS TERM 3 Against All Odds: Inside Statistics Lower-Middle Secondary Maths Mondays 11.20am from 21 August 30 x 10 minute episodes Vivid real-world examples are used to present statistics in the context of it's contemporary use. Viewers are guided through the wide range of statistical applications used by scientists, business owners and even Shakespeare scholars in their work and daily lives. Chemistry: Challenges and Solutions Upper Secondary Chemistry Mondays 11.30am from 21 August 13 x 30 minute episodes This series teaches general chemistry concepts using real-life challenges in energy, materials development, biochemistry and the environment. Each episode is hosted by a different working chemist - together, they show a diversity of chemistry professionals and the challenges chemistry is addressing for society The Word: Rise of the Slam Poets Middle - Upper Secondary English Fridays 11.25am from 28 July 4 x 10 minute episodes Inspiring and challenging contemporary poets/writers and performers in the Australian poetry and hip hop culture are showcased exploring their diverse cultural backgrounds, creative influences and the complex topics explored in their work. Lockie Leonard series 2 Middle Primary- Lower Secondary Literacy/Drama Fridays 10.00am from 28 July 26 x 24 minute episodes Growing up can be a hairier business. Series two continues in our term 3 schedule, and sees Lockie navigating young love, his loving but definitely odd family, his attempts to reach for the stars, and the occasionally intense experiences of being a young teenager.
