CitiDirect BE One-Time Password User Guide This user guide describes how to perform One-Time Password (OTP) input using the user s existing Safeword Card, and when the One-Time Password (OTP)

OTP Input Process The OTP input process will be the same as the CitiDirect BE logon using Challenge/Response from your SafeWord Card (Host 9).

3 CitiDirect BE One-Time Password User Guide This user guide describes how to perform One-Time Password (OTP) input using the user s existing Safeword Card, and when the One-Time Password (OTP) requests will pop up during the payment process for transactions debiting from Citibank N.A. Hong Kong and Macau branch accounts. 1. OTP Input Process The OTP input process will be the same as the CitiDirect BE logon using Challenge/Response from your SafeWord Card (Host 9). Below is the OTP input screen that will pop up when OTP authentication is required to advance the transaction through the client defined processing flow. A A Challenge Response from your Safeword card is used as the One-Time Password (OTP) When this OTP input screen appears, you will need to input the dynamic password response generated from your SafeWord card within the pre-set 100 second validity. The steps to get a Response from your SafeWord Card are recapped below: 1. Press ON to activate your SafeWord card. 2. At the "ENTR PIN" prompt, enter your four-digit PIN. 3. At the HOST? Prompt, enter the number At the CHALLNG?" Prompt, enter the Challenge code as shown on the CitiDirect BE pop-up screen. 5. Enter the Response code displayed on the SafeWord card in the Response field on your screen. 6. Click OK to proceed. If there is an error pop-up as below, please re-input the Safeword card Response as you may have typed it wrongly. If needed, please press Entr on the Safeword card and restart from step 4 again. 2

4 2. OTP Input in Payment Summary Screen Below table shows the OTP requirement in the payment summary screen. When multiple transactions are selected, OTP input will pop up if there is one or more transactions requiring OTP input. OTP Input in Payment Detail Screen For a transaction being viewed in the payment detail screen, an OTP input will be required only when the last stage of the payment process has reached before the transaction is sent to the bank. Examples of payment flows and the action steps (in Blue) at which OTP will pop up are: Payment Flow for the Transaction Submit Only Submit + Verify Submit + Authorize Submit + Release Submit + Verify + Authorize Submit + Verify + Authorize + Release OTP Required at Action Submit Verify Last level of Authorize Release Last level of Authorize Release For below payment detail screen under the Release Req d tab (as an example), OTP input will popup when Release is the last step for this transaction s process flow. OTP is not needed for Send to Repair or Delete. 5
