Intelligent Temperature Climatic- Controller Commands for controlling chamber over TCP/IP connection Content: 1 System requirements and application 2 Commands 1 System requirements and application Ethernet interface of ITC-controller after Version V1.47 offers possibility of communication to customer s application comparable with the ASCII-Protocol for RS232 Interface. Communication is based on a TCP/IP-Connection to the fixed port number Provided that the option Ethernet Interface is activated communication is possible. Activation can be checked in menu system-settings network. In line options there must be a 1 at the rightmost position. Further on the communication parameters for network connection must be set in this menu. Inputs for IP-Address, subnet mask and default gateway are provided by your network administration. You need a fixed IP-Address, DHCP is not supported. The IP-port must be set to 1080 in order that communication with the command described here can work. When saving the changes the controller restarts (therefore chamber switches off temporary) now the values are valid. The number of simultaneous TCP/IP-connections to the chamber is limited to 5. You can use the commands described here when the chamber should be controlled or data should be queried by customer s software. This makes sense when this software does further control of test sequence, like stimulate D.U.T. depending on chambers state. For pure control and documentation of the chamber we suggest CID-pro software. There are comfortable functions to create test cycles and measurement files.
2 Commands Read analog channels Command to chamber: Ax Example: A0 (Read chamber temperature, 2 characters) Reply of chamber: Ax_yyy.y zzz.z x: channel number (see above) yyy.y: Actual value of channel zzz.z: Set value of channel Example: A (actual temperature: 20,4 C set value 23,0 C, 14 characters) - if chamber replies only with one number, this is the channel No., but the asked channel is not present. (invalid Channel No., because Channel No. CID of controller configuration is not > 0). - If you use ramps (s. Command u and d ) you always get back the actual setpoint. (In earlier controllers you got back the ending point of the ramp.) Change analogue set values Command to chamber: ax_yyy.y yyy.y: Actual value of channel in fixed format 3 digits in front 1 digit behind decimal point Example: a (change temperature set point to C, 8 characters) Reply of chamber: a Example: a (1 character) - if chamber replies only with one number, this is the channel No., but the asked channel is not present. (invalid Channel No., because Channel No. CID of controller configuration is not > 0). - set point form command are limited to channel range
Read chamber state Command to chamber: S Example: S (1 character) Reply of chamber: Sxyzzzzzzw x: Start: 0 (chamber stopped), or 1 (chamber is running) y: Error: 0 (no Error present), or 1 (error pending, Error number see w) z: List of 6 digital channels. 0 (function OFF), 1 (function ON). Which channels are listed see Controller configuration of chamber. The list starts with Indicator channels. If there are less than 6 Indicators Softkey channel follows. If sum of both is less that 6, remaining digits are unused. There are always 6 digits replied w: Error number, when Error digit (y) is set this is the number of pending error. Meaning of the error number is found in Error report in documentation. If there are multiple erros pending the one appeared first is given. Example: S (Chamber started, no error, Temper On, humidity On, Additional dehumidification Off, DigOut1 ON, DigOut2 OFF, Channel 6 unused, Error number 0 (no error), 10 characters) - Order of Indicators and Softkeys is given by ascending order of Channel No. CID of both lists in controller configuration. - Enabling bits are replied, e.g. if a function is switched on but not released a 0 is replied. Example: DigOut1 is set but Chamber is stopped. (This is related to blinking channel in handset.) Set digital channels, chamber START/STOPP Command to chamber: sx_y x: Channel No. with assignment as follows: 1 START/STOP 2 Reset of channel No. 2 means Error confirmation 3 Pause (Fan off, cooling standby) Further channel numbers depend on chamber configuration and are found in controller configuration of the manual. Settable channels are the softkeys. The channel No for the command is: Channel No CID of softkey in controller configuration + quantity of indicator channels + 2(fixed functions). y: Value to set: 0 for function OFF, 1 for function ON Example: S1 1 (switch On chamber, 4 characters) S2 0 (confirm error) S3 1 (pause chamber) S3 0 (continue chamber) S5 1 (supposed there are 2 indicator channels softkey with Channel No. CID = 1 is set) Reply of chamber: sx x: Channel No. see above Example: s1 (2 characters)
Get program state Command to chamber: P Example: P (1 character) Reply of chamber: Pxxx x: Number of currently running program, always in 3 digits, program number 000 stands for program mode OFF Example: P000 (No program running, 4 characters) P010 (Program No 10 is active, 4 characters) START/STOP program Command to chamber: pxxx xxx: Number of program (3 digits), program number 000 means stop program Example: p001 (4 characters) Reply of chamber: pxxx xxx: Number of program (3 digits), program number 000 means stop program Example: p001 (4 characters)
Read chambers clock Command to chamber: T Example: T (1 character) Reply of chamber: TddMMyyhhmmss dd: Day MM: Month yy: Year hh: Hour mm: Minute ss: Second Example: T (actual chamber time is :27:15, 14 character) Set chambers clock Command to chamber: tddmmyyhhmmss dd: Day MM: Month yy: Year hh: Hour mm: Minute ss: Second Example: t (time to set: :27:15, 14 characters) Reply of chamber: TddMMyyhhmmss The received data are replied Example: t (time to set: :27:15, 14 characters) - There is a battery backup for the real-time clock. So the clock need not be set after every power ON.
Read all digital channels Command to chamber: O Example: O (1 character) Reply of chamber: Oxy0m ms s x: Start: 1 for chamber started, 0 for chamber stopped y: Error: 1 for error present, 0 for no error 0: unused fixed 0 (to get similar structure like S-command) m m: Indicator channels according controllers configuration s s: Softkey channels according controllers configuration Example: O (Chamber started, no error, 2 Indicators both ON, 3 softkeys second one switched ON, length variable) - Order of Indicators and Softkeys is given by ascending order of Channel No. CID of both lists in controller configuration. - Enabling bits are replied, e.g. if a function is switched on but not released a 0 is replied. Example: DigOut1 is set but Chamber is stopped. (This is related to blinking channel in handset.) Set further digital channels Command to chamber: oxx_y xx: Channel No. 2 digits as decimal number Further channel numbers depend on chamber configuration and are found in controller configuration of the manual. Settable channels are the softkeys. The channel No for the command is: Channel No CID of softkey in controller configuration + quantity of indicator channels + 2(fixed functions). _: Blank y: Value to set: 0 for function OFF, 1 for function ON Example: o09 1 (For a chamber with 2 indicators softkey with channel No. CID = 5 is switched ON, 5 characters) Reply of chamber: oxx xx: Channel No. 2 digits Example: o09 (3 characters) - You can use this command to switch softkey channels which are not reachable over S-command. Start/stop of chamber is not possible Read error text Command to chamber: F Example: F (1 character) Reply of chamber: Fnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn n..n: Errortext 32 characters, if there is no error and no warning present blanks are returned Example: FTemperature range Min 08-B1 (33 characters)
Read back set value of ramp gradient Command to chamber: Ux Example: U1 (2 characters) Reply of chamber: Ux_yyy.y zzz.z x: channel number (see above) yyy.y: value set for ramping up in K/min zzz.z: value set for ramping down in K/min Example: U (14 characters) the value for raming down is also a positive value. This value specifies the changing rate of the set points independent of the chambers has enough power to follow these values. Set change rate for ramping up Command to chamber: ux yyy.y yyy.y: value set for ramping up in fixed format in K/min Example: u (8 characters) Reply of chamber: u Example: u (1 character) - You can use this command to realize ramps in set values over ASCII-protocol without sending new set points periodically Follow this steps to do this: - Set the changing rate with command u and d - change set value with command a now the set value follows a ramp ending at the value set with a -command. Remark that the changing rates remain valid for all further changes in set point (over this protocol) For set changing setpoints first the ramp rates must be set to high values (999.9). - The minimum settable ramp rate is >0.01
Set change rate for ramping down Command to chamber: dx yyy.y yyy.y: value set for ramping down in fixed format in K/min Example: d (8 characters) Reply of chamber: d Example: d (1 character) - You can use this command to realize ramps in set values over ASCII-protocol without sending new set points periodically Follow this steps to do this: - Set the changing rate with command u and d - change set value with command a now the set value follows a ramp ending at the value set with a -command. Remark that the changing rates remain valid for all further changes in set point (over this protocol) For set changing setpoints first the ramp rates must be set to high values (999.9). - The minimum settable ramp rate is >0.01 Read back ending point of the ramp Command to chamber: Ex Example: E1 (2 characters) Reply of chamber: Ex_yyy.y x: Channel number yyy.y: ending point of ramp in fixed format Example: E (8 characters)
