3 ec. ITU- M.64- ECOMMENDATION ITU- M.64- * A methodology fo co-channel ntefeence evaluaton to detemne sepaaton dstance fom a system usng hgh-alttude platfom statons to a cellula system to povde IMT-2 sevce (23-26) cope Ths ecommendaton contans a methodology fo evaluatng co-channel ntefeence and a sepaaton dstance between a hgh-alttude platfom statons (HAP) system as a base staton fo IMT-2 and a teestal towe-based cellula system povdng IMT-2 sevce. Annex descbes a methodology fo co-channel ntefeence evaluaton fom a HAP base staton and cellula base statons to a cellula moble staton to povde IMT-2. The C/I ato s used as a cteon to set sepaaton dstance between a HAP system and a cellula system. Fo evaluatng the ntefeence wthn a cellula system, a smplfed extended veson of Hata s model s appled. An example of calculaton fo the sepaaton dstance between a HAP system and a cellula system s contaned n Annex 2. Appendces and 2 pesent the equatons fo ntefeence calculatons used n Annex and the antenna adaton patten, espectvely. The ITU adocommuncaton Assembly, consdeng a) that new technology utlzng hgh-alttude platfom statons (HAP) n the statosphee s beng developed; b) that WC-2 made povson fo use of HAP povdng IMT-2 n the bands MHz, MHz and MHz n egons and 3 and MHz and MHz n egon 2; c) that esoluton 22 (WC-3) equested studes on shang between HAP and othe statons wthn IMT-2, and consdeed the compatblty of HAP wthn IMT-2 wth some sevces havng allocatons n the adacent bands; d) that, n accodance wth No A of the ado egulatons (), HAP may be used as base statons wthn the teestal component of IMT-2 n the bands MHz, MHz and MHz n egons and 3 and MHz and MHz n egon 2; the use by IMT-2 applcatons usng HAP as base statons does not peclude the use of these bands by any staton n the sevces to whch they ae allocated and does not establsh poty n the, ecommends that the methodology n Annex should be used as gudance fo detemnng sepaaton dstance between HAP systems and cellula systems to povde IMT-2 sevce n the fequency bands n consdeng b) above. * Ths ecommendaton should be bought to the attenton of adocommuncaton tudy Goup 9.
4 2 ec. ITU- M.64- NOTE ecommendaton ITU- M.456 should be efeed to fo the typcal paametes egadng a HAP system fo shang studes between a HAP IMT-2 and a cellula sevce n the fequency bands n consdeng b) above. Annex A methodology fo co-channel ntefeence evaluaton to detemne sepaaton dstance fom a system usng HAP to a cellula system to povde IMT-2 sevce Intoducton ecommendaton ITU- M.456 povded a co-channel spectal powe flux-densty (spfd) lmt on HAP emssons and out-of-band spfd lmts on HAP emssons on the Eath s suface, as well as HAP pefomance equements to potect teestal moble statons and fxed statons opeatng n bands adacent to tansmssons fom HAP. Howeve, fo desgnng a cellula system, the mult-uses ntefeence n the system should be consdeed as well as othe sevces ntefeences; the spectum effcency depends on the ntefeence fom the same and adacent cells. In ths ecommendaton, gudance s povded to estmate the co-channel ntefeence effects nto the teestal cellula IMT-2 system, whch s towe-based, fom a HAP IMT-2 system consdeng two ntefees: the same and adacent cells ntefeence n the cellula system tself, and the HAP IMT-2 ntefeence. nce HAP IMT-2 ntefeence s based on the HAP antenna patten descbed n ecommendaton ITU- M.456, ths patten s used to evaluate the appopate ntefeence powe of cellula systems so that all ntefeence powe can be deved. The ntefeence to a cellula moble staton fom cellula base statons and a HAP base staton s estmated n tems of the C/I wth the paametes of the HAP system such as the numbe of uses pe cell, cell adus, and tansmsson powe. Fo each estmated case, the optmum values ae detemned fo the above paametes n the HAP IMT-2 system n ode to be compatble wth the cellula system. Ths ecommendaton wll gve gudance fo evaluatng the sepaaton dstance between a HAP IMT-2 system and a cellula IMT-2 system to IMT-2 sevce povdes usng those dffeent systems.
5 ec. ITU- M ystem model 2. HAP IMT-2 HAP s beng developed n accodance wth ecommendaton ITU- M.457 to possbly povde IMT-2 sevce n the MHz, MHz and MHz n egons and 3, and MHz and MHz n egon 2. In addton, HAP as a base staton to povde IMT-2 wll have ts antenna patten compled wth the followng: 2 G ψ ψ fo ψ ψ m 3( / b) db G + db fo ψ < ψ ψ ( ψ) = m L 2 G N () X 6 log( ψ) db fo ψ2 < ψ ψ3 L db fo ψ3 < ψ 9 F whee: G(ψ): G m : ψ b : L N : L F = gan at the angle ψ fom the man beam decton (db) maxmum gan n the man lobe (db) one-half the 3 db beamwdth n the plane of nteest (3 db below G m ) (degees) nea-nsde-lobe level (db) elatve to the peak gan equed by the system desgn, and has a maxmum value of 25 db G m 73 db fa sde-lobe level (db) ψ = ψ L N / 3 degees ψ 2 = b 3.745ψb degees X = G m + L N + 6log( ψ2) db X L F ψ 3 = 6 degees. G m whee G m s the peak apetue gan (db). 2.2 Popagaton model Fo the cellula system, a smplfed extended veson of Hata s model s consdeed and fo the HAP system, the fee space loss model s used. Ths fee space loss model s adequate fo a hgh elevaton angle and t should be used wth pecauton fo low elevaton angles, untl a bette model s developed fo HAP systems; at that tme ths methodology should be evewed mplfed model of an extended veson of Hata s model An extended veson of the Hata's model n equaton (2) s wdely used fo the ado channel modellng of cellula systems n uban aeas wth a base staton antenna heght of 3 m and a moble antenna heght of.5 m.
