LCISR possible input in HORIZON 2020 competition Tetyana Shtus Lviv Center of Institute for Space Research of fnational lacademy of fsciences and dstate t Space Agency of fukraine, Research Center Ukraine tatyanus@isr.lviv.ua, Tel/Fax

Lviv Center of Institute for Space Research (LCISR) of National Academy of Sciences and State Space Agency of Ukraine LC ISR is the Ukrainian basic institution in the field of experimental space research; its main tasks are the development, testing and implementation of the advanced instrumentation for space research. LC ISR includes 3 scientific departments and 1 technological department, and performs fundamental and applied researches in the following interdisciplinary scientific directions: Propagation theory and experimental study of electromagnetic fields in conducting media (space plasma, ground, sea water) Development of advanced sensors and systems for measuring the parameters of physical fields and for data collection and processing for space industry and geophysical applications. Development of the equipment and methodology for industrial and geophysical scientific research, including the search for electromagnetic earthquake precursors at ground and from space. Folie 2 NKS Raumfahrt, Dr. Adrian klein 2

LCISR highlights Flux-gate and induction magnetometers, electric probes were developed and produced in LCISR. Main features of this equipment are: - high sensitivity, - low power, - small size and weight. More than 10 spatial experiments were carried out with the instruments designed by LC ISR specialists. Among them Interball, Sprut, Variant, Compass-2 2, Egyptsat, Potential, Fobos-Grunt Grunt, Chibis-M M, Environment. Two of space factors measurements all three components of DC electric field and direct measurements of the space current density in plasma - were realized for the first time in the world space experiments. LCISR took part in the FP7 project POPDAT terminated May, 31, 2013 LCISR daughter company SME LEMI now takes part in two FP7 projects execution: SME-SAT and SEAM. Our FP 7 partners Folie 3

Topics that we are interested in: Competitiveness of the European Space Sector: Technology and Science COMPET SRC Space Robotics Technologies COMPET Scientific instrumentation 5 Folie 5 NKS Raumfahrt, Dr. Adrian klein

What proposals we intend to submit: COMPET SRC Space Robotics Technologies Robotic arm end effector exact positioning system (RAPS) Joint proposal of CBK PAN and LCISR NASU SSAU State of the art Space debris removal and satellites orbital servicing extremely actual nowadays. Quality of orbital servicing highly depends on robotic arm functioning precision. Proper control system important in context of satellite contact dynamics. What is proposed Development robotic arm compliance control system with close feedback based on precise 3 axis magnetic field data. Such solution should be extremely useful in context of contact dynamics Looking for project partners who can: Develop complicated software and algorithms; Implement the control algorithms on electronics (RCOS); Access to fine mechanics facilities. 6

COMPET Scientific instrumentation Cubesat oriented miniature magnetometer (COMMA) State of the art Toolkit of cubesats housing commercially available. Cubesat size control means (gyro, reaction wheels, transmitters) easily available Mostly technology demonstration missions were launched Scientific experiments onboard cubesats realization only emerging because of the absence of cubesat size size scientific payload. What is proposed Development andexperimental batchmanufacturingof commercially available flux gate magnetometer. The actuality of other instruments development (search coil magnetometers, onboard data processing and handling systems to name a few) also will be analyzed. Looking for project partners who can: develop and produce chip size PCB; develop and produce other instruments of cubesat size, Lead the project as coordinator Folie 7
