10 Test 5-8 Differential Impedance Tests Result: The following four plots shows the near end differential impedance plots for the clock line and the 3 data channels. The white line shows the filtered response, where a filter is applied to the TDR rising edge to achieve a rise time of 200ps The max and min measures are taken from the white curve. The blue line shows the unfiltered response Pass criteria : If an impedance measurment is <=75 Ohms or >= 125 Ohs then Fail If an impedance measurment is <= 85 Ohms or >= 115 Ohs for more than 250ps then Fail

15 Test 5-10 DDC/CEC Line Capacitance and Voltage Tests Result: Note the digital multimeter, ISO-TECH ICT76, was used to measure the capicitance on the SCL/SDA and CEC lines The HDMI test spec specifies to us a HIOKI Digital LCR Meter Spec: measured capacitance should be less than 700pF Wire SDA SCL CEC Capicitance 190 pf 184 pf 180 pf
16 Test 5-11 Active/Converter +5V Power Tests Result: During Test 50mA is drawn from the 5V line at Sink end of cable Bres chip will consume approx 5mA Total current from 5V line = 55mA Allowed voltage drop = 100mV Therefore max combined resistance of the 5V line and CEC_GND line = 100mV/55mA = 1.8 Ohms The following table presents the resistance of the various wires: Isource = 54 Supply 4.8V at source side connector & 50mA ma at sink side connector, fail if Isource > 55mA Vsink(HIGH) 4.71 V Fail if Vsink(HIGH) < 4.7V or Vsink(HIGH) >
