1 LazrSPEED WideBand OM5 Solution Global Communication To meet the challenges associated with escalating data rates and the ongoing need to build cost effective infrastructure that can support bandwidth needs today and in the future, CommScope announces LazrSPEED Multimode Fibre (WBMMF) OM5 cabling solutions. This new solution enhances the ability of short-wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) technology to provide a minimum four-fold increase in usable bandwidth while maintaining compatibility with current OM3 and OM4 fibres and supporting all legacy multimode applications Features and Benefits of SWDM and LazrSPEED 550 WB OM5 Solution: Compliant with OM5 specifications (to be published in IEC edition 6) Retains legacy application support of OM4 and OM3 Compliant with ANSI/TIA-492AAAEspecification for Wideband Multimode Fibre (WBMMF) Increases capacity to > 100G per fibre with SWDM Enables single-pair Ethernet at 40G and 100G Enables single-pair Fibre Channel at 128G Reduces parallel fibre count by factor of 4 Extends MMF utility as universal medium Matches footprint of InstaPATCH 360DM module Fits existing 360G2, UHD and HD fibre shelves
