1 ORDNANCE NO. 954 AN ORDNANCE OF THE CTY OF SNOQUALME, WASHNGTON, ANNEXNG CERTAN CONTGUOUS CTY-OWNED PROPERTY FOR MUNCPAL PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City has acquired certain real property legally described in Exhibits A and B ("the Property"), and WHEREAS, the Property is contiguous to the existing corporate limits, and WHEREAS, the Property, which consists of approximately 6.77 acres, was acquired and is held for municipal purposes, specifically, the construction, ownership and operation of municipal facilities, including a storm water pond, and a public street and utilities, and WHEREAS, RCW 35A provides that the legislative bodies of code cities may by a majority vote annex territory outside the limits of such city whether contiguous or noncontiguous for any municipal purpose when such territory is owned by the city, and WHEREAS, RCW (1)(~) provides that annexations of contiguous city- owned property held for municipal purposes are exempt from notice to and review by the Boundary Review Board, and WHEREAS, the Property is within the Urban Growth Area for the City designated by King County pursuant to 36.70A.110, and WHEREAS, annexation of the Property would promote the public health, safety and welfare, and is in the public interest, now, therefore, be it Ordinance No Adopted : 6/28/04 Published : 6/30/04 Effective Date :7/5/04 ',.

2 ORDANED by the City Council of the City of Snoqualmie, Washington, as follows: Section 1. The property described in Exhibits A and B hereto, owned by the City of Snoqualmie and held for municipal purposes, is hereby annexed to the City of Snoqualmie, pursuant to authority of RCW 35A Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to tile forthwith a copy of this Ordinance, duly certified as a true and correct copy, with the Clerk of the County Council of King County, and to file such other notices, certificates or other papers as may be required by law in cases of annexations. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and expiration of five days after its publication, as provided by law.
