Radiation efficiency exceeds that of other antennas in this class. The frequency range is continuous across the full HF band from 2-30MHz. No antenna tuner is required. Construction is of 3.2 mm stainless steel cable with UV-stable fibreglass spreaders and and diecast aluminium component cases. All external fittings and connections are of stainless steel. The antenna is centre fed and can be supplied with power ratings ranging from 200 watts, to 10 Kilowatts CW (Continuous). The antennas are almost 100% efficient across the full operating range of frequencies. No power is lost in tuning or loading devices. The antenna is ideal for frequency agile transmissions and is constructed of high grade materials throughout. The design is a cost effective solution for broadband HF short and medium range communications and is easy and safe to install, requiring only two vertical towers to mount the antenna. The antenna is an old design first described in amateur circles in Barker and Williamson pioneered commercialization of the design and it is still a popular antenna, in widespread use. The antenna can be installed as a flat top, sloper or inverted "V". Our folded dipoles are, as with our other antennas, constructed to the highest quality standards with aluminium balun and load cases, UV stabilized fiberglass spreaders, cable strain relief and connector weather shrouding. 23 STUB MAST The stub mast for all models is 50mm diameter, 3mm wall thickness, galvanised steel tubing. Overall length 3m (0.5m in ground footing, 2.5m above ground) Guying is required using 4-5mm stainless or galvanised wire rope into concrete guy anchors at a guying radius of 2.5m. Welded lugs are required on the stub mast. details will be provided on receipt of purchase order. 20

Echunga Fax: (08) PO Box 529 Echunga Intl.Phone: (618) ABN: HF RHOMBIC ANTENNAS Models: BPRH-3-12; BPRH-4-16; BPRH-5-20 Rhombic antennas have high directional gain and low take-off angles, best suited to long distance, point to point communications. Three models are available covering 3-12, 4-16, and 5-20 MHz. Installation area needed is relatively large, especially for the low frequency model, and four masts are used, however installation of the antenna is simple and can be carried out without specialist skills. Our HF Rhombic range offer a cost effective answer for permanent base stations where low take-off angle, and high directional gain is needed, with good radiation efficiency.
