4 3D sensor captures of complex scenarios often require predetermined points of reference, experience, and diligently going through frame after frame for hours in order to correctly interpret the data. Toposens offers a fast track for this arduous process with the debugging kit, fusing a wide angle camera image with the data output of 3D ultrasound sensors! Debugging Kit Output Camera Image Overlaid with Sensor Raw Data The resulting output allows developers to interpret the 3D ultrasound sensor raw data in real-time. Sensor parameters can be adjusted on the fly, with results being promptly available. The debugging kit is included in every TS ALPHA Fast Lane Development Kit, consisting of a complete software package for visualization and configuration, a wide angle camera, tripod and sensor mounting. 5 Example: Object Detection Raw Data Real Image Raw Data (Visualized) TS ALPHA detects objects by registering the reflections of ultrasound pulses. Unlike other 3D sensors scanning a grid, such as LiDAR, TS ALPHA locates objects at their significant reflection points, which are given out as a coordinates in the raw data format. Example: Object Detection Clustered / Post-processed Data Real Image Post-processed Data (Visualized) For easier implementation of TS ALPHA, it comes equipped with a clustering function that stabilizes the data output, reduces noise and allows for point-tracking over several frames. Clustering significantly reduces the development effort for applications such as gesture control, people tracking or area monitoring.
