7 1. INTRODUCTION 7 Gesture-based operation Tapping Execute action Tap briefly on an item to start an action, or tap and hold for a moment with your finger, for example to open a selection menu. Double-tapping Special Actions Double tapping on an element, for example to enlarge the map. Pulling/pushing Move content horizontally/vertically Position your finger on the screen and keep contact, while moving the finger across the screen. Turn Rotate elements/view Position your thumb and index finger on the screen and keep contact, while rotating both fingers in the same direction, e.g. to rotate the map.

The woodpile width is manually measured by using a tape measure. Use the next-step button to go to the editing screen as soon as the woodpile is completely loaded and you have entered all the required data.

22 2. CALCULATION 22 Photooptical Calculation (3) Editing Note! The post-editing of the photo is possible only right after the shooting. A correction at a later time is not possible. Tip! For an easy editing is recommended to enlarge the photo significantly. Delete circle Touch circle briefly Add circle Touch screen briefly Move circle Move the circle to a new position by dragging your finger across the screen, without loosing contact. Both outer logs, the left and right one, have to be selected. The circle size will be automatically determined based on the distance between the touch location and the existing circles.

27 2. CALCULATION 27 Single trunk Calculation View, edit, and expand woodpiles or lists of trunks To view or edit a woodpile, select the woodpile in the list of single trunk woodpiles. Via the plus symbol, you can add more single trunk woodpiles.

Via the trunk list you can view all already created trunks of the woodpile. For each section A, B, and C (B and C are optional) enter the quality, length, diameter. The quality and the tree species can be specified via the buttons or from a list.

29 2. CALCULATION 29 Single trunk Calculation Add a single trunk Tap the button Next trunk and repeat. The number of the trunks increases automatically and the tree species remains selected. Both can be changed. Tap the save button to complete the woodpile and save the trunks. A further processing is possible at any time (right image).

Enter the length without extra and select or create a wood buyer. The length without extra affects the results and is equal to the woodpile depth. If you have entered all required information, tap the save button.

If necessary, select or create a logger and skidder. When you have entered all the required information, save the felling.

42 4 DATA EXPORT 42 (1) Select plot or felling The text below explains the data export for a plot. The procedure is similar for fellings. Choose a plot or a felling from the list to view the detailed information.

44 4 DATA EXPORT 44 (3) Make a selection for the export Select the woodpiles that should be exported. All woodpiles are selected automatically for export (green dot, Fig. left). Only the woodpiles with a green dot are exported. Tap a woodpile to unselect it for export (white dot, Fig. right).

49 5. ACHIEVE OPTIMAL RESULTS 49 How are the resulting values calculated? FM FOVEA is computed by accumulating the trunk faces. The ratio between CBM and FM FOVEA is specified as a factor (Fac.). FM HKS results from the CBM * 0.6. CBM gross denotes the polygon area / volume. CBM net is calculated by CBM gross * 1/1.04 (depending on the desired deduction).
