2 HOW A YESCO ELECTRONICS DISPLAY IS BORN FROM spectacular icons to more modest landmarks, YESCO electronic displays have become prominent members of hundreds of communities. But where do these displays come from? And how are they made? To answer the first question, the displays are created by YESCO Electronics, headquartered in Logan, Utah. The specialists who work here are dedicated to engineering and manufacturing electronic displays. The answer to the second question is more involved. It Starts With Raw Materials The signs that produce magical effects of color, image and motion are born in the inventory stockroom at YESCO Electronics.

3 It Starts With Raw Materials The signs that produce magical effects of color, image and motion are born in the inventory stockroom at YESCO Electronics. This is the staging area for the vast array of diodes, steel and other raw materials that bring electronic displays to life. Putting the Diodes in Their Place In the diode insertion area of our manufacturing facility, diodes are inserted into YESCO-engineered circuit boards. Electronic display ingredients are always ready for action in the inventory stockroom. The protocol in our industry is to import manufactured components from offshore. YESCO Electronics takes a different approach. We bring in raw materials, do the engineering, and then build electronic displays from the ground up. We control the entire process, and we do it all from right here in our Logan, Utah facility. YOU KNOW The infinite variety of messages that can be displayed on an electronic sign are nothing more than individual points of light, programmed to produce the desired colors, motion and images. Each point of light is called a pixel, and large displays consist of hundreds of thousands of them. In a full-color electronic display, each pixel is comprised of a cluster of at least three small light-emitting diodes (also referred to as LEDs ) one red, one blue and one green. By altering the intensity of the three colors of diodes in a pixel, trillions of colors can be produced. A Personal Touch As high tech as the YESCO electronic display manufacturing process is, there is still a need for handson involvement. After passing over the solder wave, the circuit boards are given to skilled technicians who solder certain components onto the boards by hand. Our quality assurance experts, working with diagnostic equipment, make certain everything falls within narrowly-defined specifications and functions properly. We get involved in every electronic display right up front and stay involved throughout the manufacturing process. We check each circuit board to make sure it s working exactly as it should.
