I feel that a point of view that was a bit lower (and did not put the rock, in the lower right, on the edge) would be beneficial to the image.

For me personally, I would have liked to see much less vertical distortion that is apparent in the fence boards - especially on the right side Image seems to want a stronger subject. When first viewing it, I thought I was looking at an "artistic effect" in the sky - but now believe it is water reflections. Strong image with excellent detail and edge treatment. The balance of the colors and the angle of the subject matter adds interest. Harold Marx_Seen Better Days Excellent detail, texture, color and use of diagonals. Very nice bird in flight capture. The dull background and softness of the bird are somewhat dissappointing. Very good closeup, but the drab background, as well as the bird's natural color does not stimulate high interest. Very nice technical capture of bird in flight. Composition would be stronger if the "rule of thirds" was utilized in the cropping. Interesting critters with excellent water ripples in the image. For me, the lead bird is pretty seriously "exiting" the left edge of the image. (It needs more space in front of the bird.) The faces also seems a little soft. Nice catch-light capture. Compositionally the goose seems to be exiting the left of the image. It needs more space in front of the bird. Also don't care for the reflected head being cut off. Uncertain subject - is it the dock or the volcano? Dock is sharp, but volcano dominates much of the image. In my opinion, the only thing that would make this image better would be if it had no jet contrails. This image has more potential. For me the color adjustment that resulted in some turquoise in the lower sky areas is a significant distraction of an otherwise strong image. Excellent image capture, although I was facinated by the realization that I liked it better as a thumbnail than in a larger version.

To capture the magesty of the mountains at the far end of the lake. I like it a lot. I would frame it and hang it on my wall. Very nice textures, keeping enough detail in the trees. More of an abstract feeling here. Beautiful! The red background really fits the flower. Very sharp and detailled, but with the letters in the different colors, I am left with a jarred feeling, rather than satisfied when I look at it. Great angle! Nice flight captured? Perhaps darkening the background might bring it to another level? I would be thrilled if I got a head shot like this, but it looks a little soft. I think a touch of unsharp/sharpening would sharpen the feathers. I really like the bird in flight, but the composition needs a little work. I think cropping the bottom to emphasize the flight, would help focus the attention better. Interesting action, great composition, but I can't help but wonder what the ducks would look like in color. Very clear. Good detail, but I would sharpen it a little to make the feathers clearer. The dock is nice, but since the volcano is at a different angle, they compete, rather than complement each other. Very nice sunset. Very idyllic. I suspect that because the island is so flat, it doesn't quite work as well as a higher, or rockier island would. Stunning

4 Steve Young_Windstone Arch A great location! I'm afraid that the lighting is too diffuse. It takes too much effort to view it as a three dimensional canyon image.
