Conventional vehicle scanners require the driver and passengers to leave the vehicle prior to the scanning taking place to prevent harmful radiation exposure, this obviously slows the through put of vehicles to approximately 30 per hour and there is still a potential risk that the occupants may be actually carrying contraband on their person. The WG Occupied Car, Mini-Bus & Van Dual View Scanner System can provide an approximate though put of up to 150 vehicles per hour whilst scanning the vehicle and occupants for explosives and contraband. The Dual View system significantly increases detection capabilities at both temporary and permanent checkpoints at borders, airports, seaports, military facilities, government facilities, national infrastructure, commercial facilities and other high-security locations. The Dual View Technology views the vehicle from two angles - a down shooting view from above the vehicle and a side shooting view from the side. The benefit is an improved ability to view odd-shaped objects (i.e. triangular or L-shaped), greatly enhancing the operators ability to identify potential threats more quickly and easily than by using a single- view system. Any concealed items will be quickly identified in vehicles travelling through the checkpoints, this system will dramatically reduce the inspection time at high volume vehicle checkpoint sites. With its low profile and compact design it can fit into most entrance portals including hotel entrances. It can be used to covertly and discreetly screen vehicles and passengers. 4 Radiation Safety Side View 200 kv & 200 kv Downward View This downward view system will provide penetration of steel up to 35 mm and a medium image quality. This system can be safely used for on-going repetitive screening of persons in vehicles, i.e. daily scans at a Government facility etc. Maximum Scans per Adult 4,500 per year, 11 per day. Side View 200 kv & 320 kv Downward View This downward view system will provide penetration of steel up to 65 mm and a high image quality. This system is classified as a Class A Category 2 Limited use system, i.e. it could be used at a Border crossing where a person crosses on a number of occasions a year and only be subjected to an occasional scan. At other locations means of recording and limiting the number of scans a person is subjected to must be in place such as an ANPR and Driver ID systems linked to a database. Maximum Scans per Adult 1,000 per year, 2 per day.
