3 Microtek Object Scanner Microtek Object Scanner is exclusively designed for capturing images of material objects. It is perfect to be used in specimen centers of animals, plants and minerals, research centers, collecting agencies, manufactures of building materials, art designing and advertising companies. In general, demands toward object scanners, such as precise image displays of objects and bewaring of light angles and brightness when shooting, make them become difficult and complicate in operations and maintenances. Therefore, Microtek has developed the model of Object Scanner as a possible solution to make digitization of objects easier and more efficient. Design of a Non-touch Scan Platform Microtek Object Scanner is designed with a non-touch scan platform. When scanning specimen, there is no need to invert specimen and won t be any damage caused by direct contact with the glass surface of the scanner. This design is perfect to digitize fragile and non-invertible objects or specimen. All users need to do is put objects on a scan platform with a concealing drawer design and push it back to the scan position to start a scan job. Adjutable Object-carrying Platform The object-carrying platform of Microtek Object Scanner is an A3-size flat bed, which is adjustable and the rise-and-fall range is about 80 mm. By adjusting the object-carrying platform, users can generate a series of images captured at different object distances and each image taken from different areas of the object will be in focus. Then combined with Image Fusion technology, users can get a clear and complete image with extended depth of field (EDOF).
