2 From April 2018, we continue to offer Socials across, National Galleries of Scotland and the. In addition, we warmly welcome two new partner venues, Edinburgh Zoo and St Cecilia s Hall who will be sharing the first Friday of the month slot for the next 6 month programme (April-Sept). As always, please check booking and meeting point details for each session. Our Social Programme creates a friendly environment where everyone is welcome and all contributions are valued. Sessions start with tea and cake, and feature a range of activities inspired by our collections, building confidence, inspiring curiosity and having fun. They are suitable for those who might not be regular visitors, as well as people who have always loved visiting. Friday 6 April, noon St Cecilia s Hall The International Style of Muriel Spark Discover more about the life and work of this acclaimed Scottish author. Friday 13 April, noon Animal Magic Explore our amazing animal kingdom inspired by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Friday 20 April, noon Music Social Library Social Cover: Glace-de-Mer, Nineteenth-century women mountaineers, used by permission of the Alpine Club see page 4 Museum Social Gallery Social Zoo Social Italian Renaissance Marvel at the talents of Venetian and Florentine artists who emerged during this fascinating period, including Titian, the outstanding master.
