After World War II, Picasso lived in the South of France, buying many homes, including La Californie, Cannes, which appears in many of his paintings.!" Françoise left Picasso in 1953.!" Picasso met Jacqueline Roque in 1952, and the two remained together until the end of the artist s life.!" V*2#&+10$2)*#1,$-1,$-)3*43*5$*17'#15#$-1,$)*;-&$A#1)*$ Matisse died in November 1954, affecting Picasso greatly.!"
