2 Materials: 3 balls of Bonita Yarns Fluffy Dream in Turquoise (worsted weight); 100% acrylic (235 m/256 yds per ball g/3.53 ozskein). Approximately 250 yards You can purchase this yarn at US size I (5.50 mm) hook Furls Fiberarts Candy Shop used. Stitch markers Yarn needle Scissors Stitch Abreviations: Beginning (beg) Chain (ch) Front Post Double Crochet (FPdc): yo and insert hook from the front to the back around the post of the st of previous row. Complete as for a regular dc stitch. Repeat (rep) Slip Stitch (sl st) Space (sp) Stitch (st) V-st: (dc 1, ch 1, dc 1) in st indicated 2

3 Gauge: With size I (5.50 mm) crochet hook in pattern: Row 1: Ch 10, dc in 4 th ch from hook (ch does not count as dc), and across, turn. (7 sts) Row 2: Ch 3 (does not count as st throughout for gauge swatch only), FPdc across, turn. (7 sts) Row 3: Ch 3, BPdc across, turn. (7 sts) Row 4 Row 5: Rep Row 2 Row 3 alternately. Note: Beginning on row 17, hood edging is worked in rows. Do not join. Fasten off and weave in all ends Tassels (Make 2 using same instructions): 7 10 piece of cardboard One 10 piece of yarn. One 14 piece of yarn. 40 yds. yarn approximately Place a 10 piece of yarn across board. Wrap yarn evenly 50 times around car Pull ends of 10 piece of yarn to the top of your wraps on the board. Tie a half-knot. Gently slip all loops of yarn off board and pull 10 yarn tie tight, and finish the knot, to secure loops. Bonita Patterns Recommends 6

7 Holding the tassel, take the 10 piece of yarn with the slip knot and run the untied end through the slip knot and pull tight adjust the top of your tassel to your liking. Tightly wrap your 14 piece of yarn around bulb, covering the first row where the slip knot and short end is, and continuing until you have approximately 4 unused. Knot the 4 tail to the row above, trim, and then tuck the knot under the rows above to hide the knot. 7

8 Cut the bottom loops as evenly as possible. Trim the whole bottom edge of the tassel evenly to the length you desire. Pompom (optional): Make one. Cut a 6 diameter circle on a cardboard. I used a coffee grinds lid as a guide for the large circle. In the center of it, make a smaller 1 ½ circle, which I used the lid of a milk jug as a guide. Cut a small notch out of one side and a hole in the center. 8

9 Wrap yarn around, trying to keep as evenly as possible until the center hole is almost full. Cut the outside edge along the cardboard circle and pull the circle off. Tie two strands of yarn around the middle of the bunch of yarn. Trim the pompom to an even circle. Attach to the back of the hat.
