2 Materials Needed 1/3 yd. Crop Circles - Barn Red ( ) for block backgrounds 1/3 yd. Crop Circles - Sky Blue ( ) for block backgrounds 1/3 yd. Crop Circles - Grass Green ( ) for block backgrounds 1/8 yd. Barnyard Chatter - Barn Red ( ) for blocks 1/8 yd. Barnyard Chatter - Sky Blue ( ) for blocks 1/8 yd. Barnyard Chatter - Grass Green ( ) for blocks 1/8 yd. Hay Bales - Barn Red ( ) for blocks 1/8 yd. Hay Bales - Sky Blue ( ) for blocks 1/8 yd. Hay Bales - Grass Green ( ) for blocks 5/8 yd. Marble Dots - Yellow (3405-4) for sashing 3/8 yd. Marble Dots - Yellow (3405-4) for binding 1 1/3 yds. Caged In - Barn Red ( ) for borders General Instructions Read all instructions before starting on project. Press seams toward darker fabric or as directed after each step. All seams are 1/4 unless otherwise noted. Cutting 1. From each color of Crop Circles fabric cut one 3 7/8 strip, one 3 ½ strip, and two 2 strips. Open each 3 ½ strip and trim into four 3 ½ x 3 ½ squares. 2. From each color of Barnyard Chatter fabric cut one 3 7/8 strip. 3. From each color of Hay Bales fabric cut two 2 strips. 4. From Marble Dots fabric cut nine 2 strips. Open the strips and trim five of these strips to 33 ½. Cut the remaining four strips into sixteen 2 x 9 ½ pieces. 5. From Caged In fabric cut lengthwise two 6 ½ x 44 borders and two 6 ½ x 45 ½ borders. Prepare Pieces 1. Open one 3 7/8 Crop Circles strip and one 3 7/8 Barnyard Chatter strip of the same color. Place these strips right sides together and trim into eight 3 7/8 squares. Use a pencil to lightly mark a diagonal line across each square. Then mark a scant 1/4 (a thread s width smaller than 1/4 ) from both sides of the diagonal line. Sew on the two scant 1/4 lines then cut the square apart on the diagonal line. Press seam then open square and press. Repeat for all squares. Repeat step one for the remaining two colors. 2. Open one 2 Crop Circles strip and one 2 Hay Bales strip in the same color. Place these strips right sides together. Stitch down one side of the strips. Repeat with second 2 strips. Trim the strips into sixteen 3 ½ x 3 ½ pieces. Press seam then open and press. Repeat step two for the remaining two colors.

3 Assemble Quilt 1. Group pieces by color to assemble four blocks of each color. Sew three pieces together to make a row. The center piece is the 3 ½ x 3 ½ square from Crop Circles fabric. Press seams for adjacent rows in opposite directions. Then sew the rows together. Repeat to assemble all twelve blocks. All blocks should measure 9 ½ x 9 ½. 2. Sew a 2 x 9 ½ Marble Dots sashing piece to both sides of the center blocks (two blue, one red, one green). Sew a 2 x 9 ½ Marble Dots sashing piece to one side of the remaining blocks. Sew the blocks into rows as shown. Sew a 2 x 33 ½ Marble Dots sashing strip to the top and bottom of the first row and the third row. Sew a 2 x 33 ½ Marble Dots sashing strip to the bottom of the fourth row. Sew the rows together to Complete the quilt center. The quilt center should measure 33 ½ x 44.

4 3. Sew the 6 ½ x 44 Caged In borders to both sides of the quilt. Sew the 6 ½ x 45 ½ Caged In borders to the top and bottom of the quilt. The finished quilt measures 45 ½ x 56. Quilt as desired, then bind using Five 2 ½ strips of Marble Dots fabric.

Barn Red Barnyard Chatter ( ) - binding 2 x 5 Muslin 1/3 yd. paper-backed fusible web (Steam-a-Seam 2 ) Mettler #3 black embroidery thread Black cotton/polyester thread Two ¾" Velcro circles General Instructions Enlarge bib template. Please read all instructions including the fusible web instructions. All seams are 1/4 unless otherwise stated. Press seams toward darker fabric after each step. Back white fabrics for tractor pieces with muslin. To back with muslin, iron a piece of fusible web to the wrong side of the white fabric. Peel paper off the back and iron to the piece of muslin. parker Prepare Tractor Pieces & Name 1. Trace all pattern pieces and numbers on paper side of the fusible web leaving approximately ½" between pieces. Trace letters for name as well. Cut fusible web approximately ¼" around each pattern piece and letter. Do not cut on traced line. 2. Place each fusible web pattern piece and letter on back of chosen fabric. For fabrics that have been backed with muslin, place fusible web pattern piece on muslin side. Press according to fusible web instructions. Let cool, then cut out on the traced line. Prepare Bib Background 1. Sew the 1 x 11 blue strip to one end of the 11 x 11 blue and white fabric. Sew the green 4 x 11 piece to the other side of the 1 x 11 blue strip. Add Tractor & Name to Bib Background 1. Place tractor placement sheet on a lighted surface face-up. Center bib background over placement sheet with tractor drawing aligned above blue strip on white side. Remove paper backing and place pattern pieces 1-13 in numerical order on bib background using placement sheet as a guide. Do not press until completely assembled. Check tractor for correctness. Transport bib background to ironing board. Press following fusible web instructions. Let cool. 2. Place enlarged bib template on a lighted surface face-up. Center bib background over bib template with tractor centered. Remove paper backing and place letters for name on bib background below the blue strip and staying within the bib template space. Check name for correctness. Transport bib background to ironing board. Press Following fusible web instructions. Let cool.

6 Buttonhole Stitching 1. Buttonhole stitch around all pattern pieces and letters using Mettler #3 black embroidery thread with matching cotton/polyester thread in the bobbin. Machine stitching is recommended. Tip: fuse scrap pieces of fabric to muslin to practice buttonhole stitching. Assemble Bib 1. Place 11" x 15" stitched bib background and 11" x 15" bib backing wrong sides together. Place enlarged bib template over stitched bib background. Pin through all three layers on inside of line. 2. Cut on bib line cutting through all three layers. Remove paper and re-pin the two fabric layers. 3. Sew 1/8" basting stitch around raw edges to secure the two fabric layers. Binding and Finishing 1. Cut 1½" bias strips from red binding fabric. Join strips to create 58" of binding. 2. Fold lengthwise matching raw edges and press to create a center fold line. Open strip and fold raw edges to meet each other at the center fold line. Press. Leaving raw edges folded in, fold strip in half again and press to make a double binding that should resemble bias tape. Hand baste to bib to bind. Press binding and machine stitch close to binding edge to finish. 3. Sew ¾" Velcro circles on according to directions on package. Enlarge bib template 200% Use 11 x 17 paper
