2 Design Notes Beautiful little hoodie coat/jacket for your Blythe doll. Simple constructions with minimal sewing assembly. Worked flat in stockinette stitch, with a garter stitch trim on the hem, cuffs, along the front opening and the hood front. One button closure. Skill Level Advanced beginner Sizes To fit Blythe doll. Gauge 7 sts x 9 rs = 1 (2.8sts x 3.6rs = 1cm, in stockinette st with 2.5mm/US 1 needles ) Yarn Kimmet Croft Yarns Fairy Hare (40% angora/60% merino), sport weight 2 ply, 2oz/300 yds one skein. Use any yarn and any size needles to get the required gauge. Please, take time to check the gauge, or the finished outfit will not fit. Next RS row: k 22, at the end of the row CO 16 sts (for the left sleeve). Next WS row: sl 1, k 3, p to end of row, at the end of the row CO 16 sts (for the right sleeve). Next RS row: sl 1, k to last sts, p1. 54 sts. Beg beginning BO bind off CO cast on K knit P purl R(s) - row(s) Next WS row: sl 1, k 3, p to last 4 sts, k 3, p 1. Work two last rows 2 more times (4 rows total). Next RS row: sl 1, k 23, BO 6 (back neckline), k to last sts, p1. There are 24 sts for each sleeve. 4 Left Sleeve and Left Front Slip right sleeve stitches onto stitch holder. Continue working the left sleeve. WS row: sl1, k 3, p to end of row. RS row: k to last st, p1. Repeat these two rows three more times, end with RS row. Left sleeve in work Next WS row: sl 1, k3, p to end of row, c/o 4 sts at the end of the row. Next RS row: k to last st, p sts. 5 Right Sleeve and Right Front Transfer stitches from the stitch holder to needles. Your first working row should be on the WS of knitting. Use new yarn length. WS row: p to last 4 sts, k3, p1. Next RS row: sl 1, k to end of row. Repeat these two rows three more times, end with RS row. At the end of the RS row c/o 4 sts. Wrong side of finished neckline Next WS row: k4, p to last 4 sts, k3 p1. 28 sts. Next RS row: sl 1, k to last st, p1. Next WS row: sl1, k 3, p to last 4 sts, k3, p 1. Repeat last two rows one more time. End with WS row. Next RS row: b/o 16 sts, k to last st, p1. Next WS row: sl1, k3, p to end of row. There are 12 sts for the right front. Next RS row: k to last st, p1. Next WS row: sl 1, k 3, p to end of row. Repeat last two rows until the front piece is only 0.5 shorter than the back ( if measured to underarm). 6 Hood With the RS facing pick up and knit 25 stitches along the neckline. R1(WS): p all sts. R2(RS): k 9, *k1, yo, k1 in same stitch* x 7 times, k to end of row. 46 sts. R3: sl 1, k 3, p to last 4 sts, k3, p1. R4: sl1, k 19, *k1, yo, k1 in same stitch* x 6 times, k to last st, p1. 64 sts. R5: sl1, k3, p to last 4 sts, k3, p1. R6: sl1, k to last st, p1. Repeat last two rows until work measures 6 (15 cm) from the neckline pick-up row. BO on the next RS row. Hood attached. Finishing Slightly steam the finished coat to even up stitches. Let it air dry. Sew side seams. Sew the underarm seams, leaving the garter stitch cuffs open. Sew the top of the hood.
