The body and sleeves of the waist coat are worked from the bottom up in pieces with a wide lace edging which transitions into reverse stocking stitch. The hip-length garment has a round neckline and waist shaping for a feminine silhouette. Perfect for casual and weekend layering all year round. Anniken is a hand-knit and crochet designer living in Cornwall. She has designed for British, German and American knitting and crochet magazines as well as several yarn companies. Knit stitch and wrap together on a knit row: Insert RH ndl up through wrap then into st. Knit stitch and wrap together. Purl st & wrap together on a purl row: From knit side of work, lift wrap and place in front of purl st. Purl stitch and wrap together. One Row Button Hole Make the button hole smaller or larger to fit your buttons. Work to place where you need to start button hole. 1. Take yarn to front between needles, sl next st pw to RH needle, take yarn to back between needles. 2. *Sl next st pw and pass first slipped st over. Rep from * until you have cast off required no of sts (or more if you prefer a larger button hole). Sl st remaining on RH needle to LH needle, turn work. Working yarn is now at beg of LH needle. 3. With WS facing cable cast on the number of sts you cast off plus one st (if you cast off 3, then cast on 4). Before placing last st on LH needle bring yarn to front between needles, place st on LH needle, turn work. 4. Sl first st on LH needle kw and pass last cast on st over it.
