1 Jackie O Brien, Quilt Ninja Studio 180 Design Fundamental Tools: Tucker Trimmer - Oak Ridge Stars Pattern from Studio 180 Design (68 x 88 or 92 x 112 ): A spectacular pieced quilt and border that is easy to construct. Deb s directions and her Tucker Trimmer ruler eliminate the need to cut or sew any triangles whatsoever. Everything is pieced using squares then trimmed down after assembly. Six fabrics make the shopping list manageable and two different size options make it fun for all I have been quilting for 10 years and teaching for the last 7 years. I am known for teaching One Block Wonders (OBW), of which I have made 52. Below are some of the classes I teach: Wing Clipper I and Square/Squared Tools: Patriot Pattern from Studio 180 Design (43 by 47 ) This is a traditional style wall quilt with a contemporary flair. I called mine 50 Shades of Gray. It is based on two kinds of geese fast flying in the center and migrating geese in the border. Teacher: Jackie O Brien, Cell 1

2 Square/Squared, Wing clipper I, and Corner Beam Tools Signs of Autumn Pattern by Studio 180 Design (table runner 19.5 by 41 ) This pattern includes a favorite Leaf Block and flying geese strips. V-Block and Tucker Trimmer Galaxy patter by Studio 180 Design (makes 3 sizes: 42 x 54, 63 x 81 and 84 x 108 ). Galaxy uses 5 fabrics a dark and a medium red, a dark and a medium blue and one light background. If you d like, you can vary the red/blue colorway to any two colors you like, just get a dark and a medium value of each. Good contrast between the two color families will assure the design pops. Split Rects and Tucker Trimmer Tools: Fanfare pattern by Studio 180 Design can be made with a collection of bright fabrics, soft pastels or any of your favorite fabric combinations. A design simple enough for new quilters, but interesting enough for veteran stitchers. Square/Squared Tool Patter is Southern Hospitality 66 x 74. You use two types of units: Diamond Squares and Little Houses and then add some Migrating Geese to complete this very sumptuous design by Deb Tucker. 2

3 Studio 180 Design Rapid Fire Tools: Large Rapid Fire Hunter Star Tool Star Crossed Love pattern by Studio 180 Design (block size 9 x 9, quilt size 74 by 92 ) Rapid Fire Hunter Star Petite Masquerade pattern by Studio 180 Design (makes a square wall hanging 29.5 x 29.5, table runner 18.5 x 48.5, Applique wall hanging 27.5 x 48 ) Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star: If you love the Lemoyne star but hate Y seams, then this is for you. This revolutionary construction technique will allow you to make The Lemoyne Star Block WITH NO Y SEAMS. The Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star ruler by Deb Tucker is an easy method that will make Lemoyne Star Blocks ranging from finished 3 blocks to 12 blocks. Fun & Easy! The first picture is a wall hanging pattern that comes with the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star Ruler. The second picture the blocks were made from fat quarters. The 3 rd picture used yardage. 3

4 The Classes Listed Below are Not Studio 180 Design Not Your Grandmothers Crazy Quilt: This flip and stitch method will allow you to make beautiful crazy quilts blocks by machine using the built in stitches that are already on your machine to embellish the seams. Spider Web Quilt (86 x 101 ): This is an easy quilt to make. It is constructed by cutting various size strips and sewn into strip sets, then cut into 45 degree triangles sewn together into an octagon and turned into a 15 inch square by adding 4 half square triangles to the corners. Big Star Quilt This is a fun, easy quilt that uses Layer Cakes or 10 squares and makes a 24 finished block. Each block requires only 6 layer cakes. Two dark, two light and two background. You can make this quilt as big or small as you like. This is a great quilt for beginners that want to make a big quilt. I made 12 blocks, it measured 84 by

5 One Block Wonder: One fabric, One Shape, One-of-a-kind Quilts (I have made 50 OBWs) In this class you will learn to: identify and cut 6 fabric repeats, align the repeats, sort the blocks by color, sew the hexagons, design with the hexagons, sew the quilt top together, finish the edges The blocks are made from one fabric with very little waste! You cut and sew equilateral triangles forming hexagons and then design with these kaleidoscopic blocks. There are NO Y seams. This is not Stack & Wack! Because this quilt features one repeated block, design merely involves playing with the colors and shapes in any way you choose. The quilt you produce will have more energy and movement than the original fabric. Chevron Quilt More Fun with Layer Cakes & Half Square Triangles - Measures 86 by 98. Beginner.
