2 PROSPECTIVE CORPORATE PARTNER, Delta Sigma Pi Alpha Epsilon has long created leaders, advocates, and change makers; we re excited that you re interested in partnering with us to continue on our successes as well as grow both our, and your, organizations. My name is Carston Hernke and as the Director of Corporate Partnerships, I serve as the liaison between our Alpha Epsilon chapter at the University of Minnesota and corporate partners. As a professional fraternity, we exist to contribute to the professional and personal development of our members. Whether it be through professional networking events, community service initiatives, or academic support, we pour into our members. Every fall, we host our Inside Track event, which brings together over 40 representatives from local companies for oneon-one conversations just before the Carlson career fair. We also strive to make a tangible impact within our community. Last semester alone, we packed over 5000 meals at Feed My Starving Children and contributed over 250 hours of community service. By partnering with Delta Sigma Pi, your company will gain access to 75+ of the Carlson School s most driven, accomplished students. Our members are leaders in the classroom, with an average GPA of More importantly, however, our members are leaders in the community. Over 90% of our members participate in extracurricular organizations outside of DSP, and over 40% hold leadership positions within those organizations. In the following pages, you will find additional information and some interesting statistics about our chapter s demographics, academic interests, and our involvement in the community. This information is intended to paint a picture of the type of people that are in our chapter driven, purposeful leaders who are dedicated to self-improvement and invested each other and our partners. In partnership with you, we can host more engaging professional events to further develop our members. Outside of class, you can find him playing club water polo or messing around with a Raspberry Pi. Currently training for his first marathon, Ben can tell you the exact temperature it takes to make a perfect cup of pour-over coffee. 5 OUR CORE VALUES Delta Sigma Pi is the nation s largest and first co-ed professional business fraternity, with over 260,000 alumni nationwide. The Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at the University of Minnesota was founded on March 8, For 94 years, our chapter has focused on promoting our three core values: professionalism, service, brotherhood. PROFESSONALISM Professionalism is core to our identity as a professional business fraternity. We seek to help our brothers develop professionally through a variety of initiatives including resume and networking workshops, mentoring from alumni, and events with local companies. One of our largest events each year is the Inside Track dinner, where our brothers enjoy one-on-one conversations just before the Carlson career fair. SERVICE We strive to be actively involved in giving back to our community. Each semester, we undertake a variety of community service events for organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Feed My Starving Children, and the Boys and Girls Club. Last semester, one of our most exciting volunteer events was for MATTERbox Madness, an event for the nonprofit Matter that brought 32 companies from around Minnesota together to pack over 200,000 healthy meals for local families. BROTHERHOOD Brothers of Delta Sigma Pi join not only for the professional events and community service opportunities but to form lasting friendships with others who share their passions and ambition. Brotherhood and our close-knit relationships are essential to the success of our organization and differentiate us from many other opportunities on campus.
