Informational to Board Amanda and guest (Matt - Members. Wethersfield) told about a Lang Camp experience - attended and held - teachers select 3 sessions to attend, demand driven by attendees. One creates an online living room or session board which is a posting receptacle for session information. Technology piece, meeting others in the field and spending time will colleagues. Informational content was provided to Board Members so that CT COLT could (potentially) offer something in a similar PD model. Due date Person(s) responsible 5/9/2016 Amanda Robustelli-Price
2 2 Minutes (acceptance of January and their publication) 3 Treasurer s Report: CT COLT Budget and Finances 4 Executive Board nominations (slate) 5 min Meeting protocol requires that minutes from prior meeting be accepted at next meeting. 10 min Meeting protocol requires that Treasurer provide report about financials at every board meeting. 10 min Informational - followup at CT COLT Retreat Jimmy Wildman raised a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Lisa Urso - minutes were so accepted. Paul reports that any outstanding bills must be submitted to him ASAP. Paul will be working on the budget this summer - please him this summer if there is anything that you would like to include or foresee as necessary. In June, Jimmy, Beth and Paul will need to go to the bank to transfer all signatory privileges. June was an expensive month, so reports Paul. Student awards have been paid already, but there are still, most likely, outstanding invoices and he needs to receive them well-before the end of June. Paul also reports that we are up to 677 members. Beth presented the CT COLT Executive Board Slate to Board Members. It will officially be voted on as part of the 2016 CT COLT Retreat on Friday, June 24 CT COLT Retreat. Jimmy strongly encouraged CT 5/9/2016 Beth Lapman, John Rook 5/9/2016 and by June 24, /9/2016; 6/24/2016 Paul St. Louis Beth Lapman

Board Members do have to sign up but it is free of charge. Board Members. Linda D. put forth a recommendation that we add a teacher-retiree representative to the Board. This would result in the Exec Board revisiting the By-Laws for revision. A new feature was added to the CT COLT Website for scholarship donations. Also, when signing up for the Fall Conference, registrants can also add $ for the scholarship funds. Linda suggested moving up the deadline to March 1st so as to assist scholarship winners with potentially purchasing a flight for less. Linda Dalpe reports that they need more workshops. Conference is Oct. 24th. Ongoing Ongoing Linda Dalpe Linda Dalpe and Conference Committee 7 ARC & request for letter 10 min Info from Bert Neumaier Draft a letter to Dr. Noah M. Dion, Dr. Gregory Little ASAP Beth Lapman

Beth shared her research questions with the board - she was supposed to revise her questions, but she was not able to do so due to a family issue. 5/9/2016 Beth Lapman 9 CT Seal of Biliteracy 5 min. Informational and moving forward. Lea G.-K. reported that unfortunately, the original bill that contained the portions of the Seal of Biliteracy. Was replaced in a newer bill, but that died as well. Knowing this, Lea suggested that a few districts pilot this type of program and then follow-up with another request. This will never be part of its own bill - it will most likely be attached to another bill. 19 legislatures have passed it to date. Lea also recommends that we communicate our thanks for considering the Seal and that Ongoing - Next CT State Legislative session Seal of Biliteracy Committee
