3 SPEAKER PROFILES Ms. Cynthia Hui is Executive Director (Members) of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority. Ms. Hui is a qualified actuary and a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia with 30 years of experience in the financial industry, including pension, insurance and banking, in both public and private organisations. She has held Appointed Actuary, Chief Actuary and Regional Actuary positions in multi-national insurance firms, and positions with responsibilities for information technology in major financial institutions in Australia before joining the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority in Cynthia Hui Executive Director (Members) Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority Gary Lee FSA Chairperson of ASHK Pension & Employee Benefits Committee Mr. Gary Lee has been working in Hong Kong since 2008, specializing in the areas of pension, risk management and life insurance inforce portfolio management. Gary is currently under a one year secondment at the Insurance Authority in Hong Kong, working on projects related to Mainland affairs. Prior to the secondment, he was the Assistant Vice President Inforce Management for Sun Life Hong Kong s Life and Health business where he was responsible for analyzing the health of existing products as well as data analytics. Gary has also served as the Chief Risk Officer for Sun Life Hong Kong where he was responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and communication of the enterprise risk management strategies aimed at optimizing the global risk/ return profile of the company. Gary s early career was predominantly in the pensions industry where he worked in the pension business for both Sun Life and Manulife in Hong Kong for several years. He also spent one year in Vietnam where he participated in the establishment of a pension practice for Sun Life in Vietnam. Gary was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Australia where he studied and began his actuarial career in the private health insurance sector. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Actuarial Studies and Finance) and Masters of Commerce (majoring in Finance) degrees from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and has experience across the fields of private health insurance, life insurance consulting, pensions and risk management. Gary has been a member of the ASHK Pension & Employee Benefits Committee for the past 7 years, he is also the current Chairperson for this committee and a council member of the ASHK.

4 SPEAKER PROFILES Mr. Stuart Leckie is based in Hong Kong and advises on investments and pensions in Asia. He is the author of books titled "Investment Funds in China" and "Pension Funds in China". He is the Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association and was Chairman of the CFA Institute Advisory Council on Standards and Financial Market Integrity. He has served as the Chairman of Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson) in Asia-Pacific and as Chairman of Fidelity Investments, Asia Pacific. He was a Director of Exchange Fund Investment Limited which created the Hong Kong Government's Tracker Fund, the first E.T.F. in Asia. He has advised the Chinese Government on pension reforms. Stuart Leckie OBE, JP, FIA, FSA Chairman Stirling Finance Ltd Stuart is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (U.K.) and of the Society of Actuaries (U.S.A.). He is also Adjunct Professor at City University of Hong Kong. He is appointed Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Government, and has been awarded an 0.B.E. by the British Government. During his 30-year career in the medical profession, Dr. David Dai has specialised in geriatric, rehabilitation and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Dai was a member of several Hong Kong Government Labour and Welfare Bureau steering committees and working groups studying issues relating to community care and residential care services for the elderly. He also chairs the Independent Committee for Handling Complaints of the Social Welfare Department from In 2012, Dr Dai was appointed Justice of the Peace. Before retirement from the Hospital Authority, Dr. Dai was consultant geriatrician at Prince of Wales Hospital and led the complaint management unit. After retirement in December, 2015, Dr. Dai has joined Qualigenics as the Clinical Director for Dr. David Dai, JP MBBS (HK), FHKAM, Healthcare for the Senior; and is Director of Geriatric Medicine at Baptist Hospital since June FRCP, LLB (Hons.) Clinical Director for Healthcare for the Senior Qualigenics Dr. Heather M. Lund, MBBCh, is Chief Medical Officer for Asia at RGA Reinsurance Company. She provides medical consultation expertise and technical assistance for reinsurance underwriting and claims assessment, supporting actuarial business development, marketing and pricing teams across the Asia region. A native of South Africa, Heather s Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) degree is from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Her background is in Family Medicine with a special interest in maternal health. Heather joined RGA in February of 2015 after nearly 15 years of clinical experience and seven Dr. Heather M. Lund MBBCh Chief Medical Officer RGA Asia years of reinsurance experience. Prior to joining RGA, Heather served as Medical Officer for Hannover Re in South Africa. She is a frequent contributor to medical publications and has also served on program committees of the International Committee for Insurance Medicine (ICLAM) and the Academy of Insurance Medicine in Asia (AIMA).

5 SPEAKER PROFILES Dr. Andrés Benchimol studied Actuarial Science at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and holds an M.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Alcalá and a Ph.D. in Business and Quantitative Methods from Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain). Dr. Andrés Benchimol Lecturer in Actuarial Science The University of Hong Kong Andrés joined the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Hong Kong in He also worked as a Lecturer in various programmes in Actuarial Science in Argentina and Spain. His research interests are centered on longevity risk and projection of dynamic life tables. He also has professional experience as an Actuary working in different business lines of the insurance industry, such as Life Insurance, Superannuation and Workers Compensation. Mr. Terry Yung is the Chief Investment Officer of Hang Seng Insurance based in Hong Kong. Terry is in charge of the general account life fund management and supervise a team of professionals and fund managers to develop investment strategies, strategic asset allocation, hedging strategies and various ALM initiatives. Terry has more than 21 years of experience in the insurance industry in Hong Kong covering product pricing, valuation, ALM strategies and investment banking experience. Terry is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Terry Yung FSA Chief Investment Officer Hang Seng Insurance Mr. Alan Liu joined the Hong Kong Housing Society in November Before joining the Housing Society, he was Head of Retail Distribution North Asia for Deutsche Asset Management. Prior to Deutsche, he was Alternative Specialist for UBS Wealth Management in Hong Kong. Alan has over 33 years of experience in the financial industry. His roles include actuarial consultant, asset consultant as well as institutional fund management. Alan graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney NSW Australia with a Bachelor Degree in Economics majoring in Actuarial Science. 6 SPEAKER PROFILES Ms. Janet Li, CFA, is the Asia Wealth Business Leader at Mercer. She oversees and is responsible for Mercer s Wealth (Investment and Retirement) Business in Asia. In her role, she leads and drives business strategy as well as managing the team across Asia. Janet Li CFA Chairman Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association Janet has vast experience working with institutional clients (sovereigns, pension, insurance, corporate and wealth management). Her experience also spans across a wide range of investment services (asset liability review and strategy, portfolio construction, manager review, selection and monitoring, investment governance and transformation, discretionary management, member communication and education and related tools developments) and a diverse range of asset classes (public equities and fixed income, private equities, illiquid credit, real estate and infrastructure). Before joining Mercer, Janet was the Director of Investments, Greater China at Willis Towers Watson where she was also a core member of the Asia leadership team. Janet is the Chairman of the Executive Committee, a Member of the Members Communication Subcommittee and a Member of the Business Strategy Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association ( HKRSA ). She has been a delegate and a supporter to the annual Cross Straits Pension Forum (this year is the 10th anniversary), which the HKRSA has been one of the key organizers, for the past 8 years. Janet is also a Management Committee Member and a member of the Research and Development Sub-committee of the Taiwan Pension Fund Association and an Advisory Committee Member of the FTSE Taiwan Index Committee. Janet graduated with Bachelor Degree of Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Steve Chiu has close to 30 years of wealth and asset management experience, and has been a CFP certificant since He is currently Senior Vice President and Head of Hong Kong Retail at PIMCO Asia Limited, and was previously Vice President, Investment Funds at Manulife Asset Management (Hong Kong). Prior to that Mr. Chiu held senior management roles at Bosera Asset Management (International), AIA Wealth Management, Invesco Asset Management, HSBC Retail Banking and HSBC Asset Management. He holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Steve Chiu, CFP CM Chairman Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong Mr. Terry Li is currently the Head of Bancassurance for DBS Bank HK, managing the overall P&L of MFP, life and general insurance business lines across retail, high-net-worth and commercial customer segments. As the appointed Responsible Officer of the bank, Terry also represents the bank as the key liaison officer to regulatory bodies including IA, HKFI, HKMA and MAS. Terry started his financial services career in Canada back in early 90 s. After 10 years of work in distribution field with London Life, Great-West Life and Scotiabank in Canada, he moved onto Asian market with key focus in Bancassurance and Partnership businesses, and served in various country, regional and global roles with Prudential, HSBC, Citi and Standard Chartered. 7 SPEAKER PROFILES Edmond Lau Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer HKMC Annuity Limited Mr. Edmond Lau was appointed as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of HKMC Annuity Limited in September 2017, to be responsible for the launching of a life annuity scheme in order to strengthen the retirement protection for the elderly. Prior to this, Mr. Lau joined the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Lau was appointed as the Executive Director of the HKMA and Hong Kong Note Printing Limited, to be responsible for Monetary and Financial Stability Policy, as well as the development of the financial market. During the same period, Mr. Lau was also a member of the Risk Management Committee of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited to help monitor risk in the securities market. Meanwhile, Mr. Lau was a member of the Executive Board of the Treasury Markets Association which aimed to promote the ethical conduct and professional competence of treasury market practitioners. Prior to his career in financial management, Mr. Lau worked as an Administrative Officer, HKG since 1986 and had taken part in district administration, land and town planning, etc. Before his resignation in 1997, Mr. Lau was the Principle Assistant Secretary for the Constitutional Affairs to assist in the handling of the Hong Kong s handover. Mr. Lau graduated from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) with a Bachelor Degree in Social Science (Economics) in 1986, and he completed a public administration program offered to Administrative Officer, HKG by the University of Oxford in Thereafter in 2016, he obtained a Master Degree in Social Work from the HKU and subsequently joined Stewards as the Chief Executive until September Mr. Billy Wong is the Business Leader, Health & MPF, Hong Kong for Mercer. Prior to the current role, Billy was the Head of China Business of Sun Life Financial Asia. Billy's major accountability is to represent Sun Life Financial in its China JV insurance and asset management companies and to work closely with the JV management in developing and implementing strategic plans to advance the JV s missions to promote growth and profitability. Billy had been the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Trustee Company Limited and the Vice President, Institutional Business of Sun Life Hong Kong. Billy was previously working in Watson Wyatt being the Principal Consulting Actuary in Retirement Benefits Practice. Billy Wong FSA, CFA, LLB, BSc Business Leader, Health & MPF, Hong Kong Mercer Billy Wong was the President of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong in 2014 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Asian Actuarial Conference 2018 Committee and the general committee member of HKCIB. Billy graduated from the University of Hong Kong in Actuarial Science and received his LLB from the University of London. He is a Fellow of Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
