5 ANNIE KOH (PhD, New York University) Annie Koh is the Vice President for Office of Business Development, (SMU). A Practice Professor of Finance, Annie also holds the position of Academic Director for the Financial Training Institute (FTI), Centre for Professional Studies (CPS), International Trading Institute (ITI) and Business Families Institute (BFI). Her previous portfolio includes positions as Associate Dean, Lee Kong Chian School of Business and Dean, Office of Executive & Professional Education. A notable conference speaker, panel moderator and commentator, Annie serves on a number of councils, advisory boards and steering committees of regional and local corporate, government and academic institutions. A recipient of the prestigious Singapore Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2010, Annie chairs the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council for Southeast Asia and the Asian Bond Fund 2 Supervisory Committee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. She was recently appointed as a board member of Family Firm Institute, Inc. USA, a member of SkillsFuture HR Sectoral Tripartite Committee and HR Certification Taskforce, and MOE-WDA Skills Development Council representing SMU. Annie is also a board member and audit committee member of Singapore s Central Provident Fund, member of Advisory Board for Indonesian International Institute for Life Sciences (i3l) and the School of Economics and Management, Wuhan University, and is on the investment committee of i-globe,. She is an independent director on the board of k1 Ventures Ltd serving on the audit committee and chairs the compensation committee. A Fulbright scholar, Annie earned her PhD in International Finance from Stern School of Business, New York University in Her research interests are in Family Office and Family Business, Investor Behaviour, Alternative Investments and Enterprise Risk Management. She co-authored Financial Management: Theory and Practice, An Asia Edition (2014), and Financing Internationalisation Growth Strategies for Successful Companies (2004). Page 5
