This year s main focus will lie on the following three key topics: Increasing risks for board members and the management due to their accountability under antitrust and competition law because of a greater focus on companies recovery options and recovery obligations towards board members and the management in the event of reproachable violations of (antitrust and competition) law. Best practices in (international) internal investigations because internal investigations into possible (antitrust and competition) violations are less often limited to just one country, given the links between competition authorities via the ECN and ICN. Digitalisation of the economy and antitrust law because we would like to discuss with you how the digitalisation of the economy is influencing antitrust and competition law practice: Are we already speaking of the digitalisation of antitrust and competition law? Leading representatives of government authorities and companies as well as reports from practioners on their expertise will highlight these topics in their presentations and will offer you the possibility to share your ideas in lively discussions. We have organised a total of six workshops in the morning and afternoon focussing on some of the latest topics on antitrust and competition law, including cartel damages, antitrust compliance in the digital era and leniency strategies.
