2 My Hero Now you need to think about what sort of HERO is going to fight your monster. o Write a description of the hero who will battle your creation. o Use similes, metaphors, lots of details to create a very dashing character doc

3 Planning your poem o Look back at your descriptions of the monster and the hero o You have your two main characters; now you need to describe what happens when they meet! WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE POEM? Why has the hero come to find the monster? Are the monster and the hero going to fight? If so, who is going to win?! Perhaps the monster isn t as terrible as it looks Write one sentence that describes what will happen in your poem: WORDS AND PHRASES FOR YOU TO USE IN YOUR POEM: Find some words that describe movement and write them here Find some words that describe sounds that might happen in the battle and write them here doc

Remember to use alliteration, similes and metaphors to make your poem really exciting.
