3 1 Logging in to your CLAiT e-portfolio To log in to your e-portfolio you will need a username and password, available from your tutor. When you first log in to your e-portfolio, you will be asked to change your password change it to something you will remember easily and keep it safe, as you will need this to access your work. Do not share your password with anybody! 2 Getting Started Once you have logged in you will see your About Me screen. You can go to the edit button on the left side of the screen and add information about yourself your hobbies, likes and dislikes, it s up to you so be creative! You can also change your background colour - make sure you click finished to save your changes. Use the change border button to add a border that you like. Your message board List of your tasks Edit your About Me profile Report a technical problem to TAG View other students work in the gallery Your details Links to tasks you have to do and tasks you have handed in Figure 1 On the right of the screen is a space for a picture. This currently has student profile written in it. Click on change image? underneath this box and browse files until you find a picture you like. It can be one you have drawn and saved on your computer, a cartoon, one from the internet or one of yourself anything you like to suit your personality.

4 3 Tasks The next step is to view your CLAiT tasks assigned to you from your tutor. Click on the tasks tab to see the work assigned to you and the unit/s you need to complete. You can also see the start date and handing in date. The status of the work will change to show when work is in progress, completed and assessed. Figure 2 4 Uploading your work When you have completed your CLAiT unit you will need to upload your work into your e-portfolio so your tutor can mark it. From your My Tasks screen, click view beneath the level and unit title you wish to upload. From this screen click on the upload work button on the left and enter the file name (your tutor may have told you what to call the file). You can add a comment for your tutor about your work and then click browse to get the file from where it is stored.

5 Figure 3 When you have uploaded your file, click the finished button at the bottom of the screen. This will the take you to your My work screen, where you will see the piece(s) of work you have just uploaded. If you have more than one file to upload for this unit then repeat the process until you have uploaded all of your work. Figure 4 Now you have uploaded your work, you can check you have met all the assessment objectives necessary to complete the unit.

6 5 Checking your work CLAiT Level 1 If you are doing a CLAiT level 1 qualification, your tutor will check your work against the objectives. CLAiT Level 2 OCR set assignments You can check the objectives for the units you are completing by clicking on the objectives button on the left of the screen. You will then see your evidence checklist for that unit so you can check you have met all of the criteria needed to complete the unit. Figure 5

7 CLAiT Level 3 and Level 2 solutions units If you are completing a CLAiT Level 3 and Level 2 solutions unit you will need to click on the objectives button on the left of your screen to display the evidence checklist for your unit. When you upload your work, tick off the objectives you have met and include a reference to where this is met in the document. Figure 6

8 6 Handing your work in for marking Once you are sure you have completed your work, click on the red hand in button on the bottom left of the screen. Once you have handed in your work you will not be able to make any changes to it, so make sure you have done everything required to complete the unit before handing work in. You will then be asked if you are sure you want to hand in this piece of work. If you click yes you will be given the option to add a final comment about the piece of work for your tutor to read. When you are ready, click the finished button at the bottom of the screen. Your work has now been passed to your tutor for marking and the status of that unit in your My Tasks bank will have changed to completed. Figure 7
