3 1. Asset Map Functionality This section explains the functionality contained within Asset Map. 1.1 Navigating the Map Display Map Tools Map Themes Map Legend Map Coordinates Map Scale ASSET MAP 3

Alternatively, you can use the Navigator to click the buttons to move the map around. With the Navigator, you can move the map in four directions (N, E, S, W).

4 Use the following methods to navigate the map: Pan around via a mouse, where if you hover over the map window, the cursor changes to a hand. Click and hold the left mouse button to move the map, and release the mouse button to finish shifting the map to a new view. Alternatively, you can use the Navigator to click the buttons to move the map around. With the Navigator, you can move the map in four directions (N, E, S, W). 6 1.2.1 Query Tool There are four types of predefined queries: Address Melway Reference SLID search by Service Location ID, which is a property identifier used at Yarra Valley Water Sewer Access Point search by sewer access point number that is assigned by Yarra Valley Water. When a query returns multiple results, click on the checkbox on the left side to locate the record on the map. The map will then zoom to the centre feature selected. The centre of the map is defined by the symbol. ASSET MAP 6

Add selected features to clipboard Clear selection Add selected assets to clipboard (see below for explanation) Clears all selections from the map. Once a selection is performed using the tool, the notification popup will appear in the top right corner of the map. The selection is complete once the notification popup disappears and selected assets are highlighted in green. To add selected feature information into the data window: a) Select features by clicking on the feature (hold down Shift key to select multiple features). b) Click on the Add selected features to clipboard tool. c) Go to the Tools tab and select the data window. d) A list of features will display on the clipboard. Clears all redlines drawn on the map. 1.4 Map Content The Map Content is a legend that lists features that are shown on the map. Legend items are categorised into Sewer, Water, Non Drinking Water, Planned Information and Landbase. Click on next to a category in the legend to expand the legend group. Select the checkboxes next to a legend item to toggle the features on or off. Features that are loading on the map are indicated by against the legend item. Greyed out legend items indicate that features cannot be displayed at the current scale. Example:. Landbase category expanded. Items already checked are displayed on the map by default. Greyed out items cannot be displayed at the current scale. ASSET MAP 10
