Why is it necessary for academically competent individuals to enter all areas of the workforce? 5. How do communication skills affect interactions between employer, employee, and customer? 2 Standard 1: Students experience various career opportunities and assess personal career pathways related to drafting. that using experiences in identify personal interests annotation drafting will assist with and abilities in the drafting auxiliary view future career and trades. bevel educational choices. identify specialized CAD(computer-aided drafting career with respect drafting) to specific knowledge, CADD(computer-aided skills, and problem solving design drafting) situations. 3 web working drawings Standard 2: Students demonstrate an understanding and apply principles of Resource Management (i.e., financial, time, personal management). Prior Background Knowledge Students will know that being punctual and completing work on time will enhance career advancement. apply drafting industry work ethics of punctuality, time on task, and meeting project deadlines. demonstrate the ability to self-start and work independently on drafting projects. Standard 3: Students acquire and utilize personal and leadership skills to become successful, productive citizens. that practicing effective communication will assist with future employers and customers. that a positive work ethic helps develop additional skills. assist other students with drawings they have already completed. produce a set of plans for a finished machine product.
4 Standard 4: Students acquire and demonstrate current technical skills leading to an occupation related to drafting. that the foundation for multi-view projections is orthographic projections. that drafting is the communication tool of industry. that using correct line type, line weight, and colors on drawing projects is needed for a successful project. use CAD software to complete basic single or multi-view drawings appropriately use industry standard terminology related to drafting. demonstrate an understanding of how working drawings are used as a method of communication. apply technical reading skills to analyze text and drawings. accurately read and interpret drafting symbols in order to effectively communicate design concepts. identify web-based resources to solve problems in drafting.
5 Standard 5: Students know and demonstrate the requirements of the workplace through authentic application related to drafting. that the foundation for multi-view projections is orthographic projections. that completing accurate drawings on time is necessary to be successful in the workplace. that there are different types of drawings, views, and functions. produce orthographic drawings using current industry standards. produce sectional drawings using current industry standards produce isometric drawings using current industry standards. produce 3D models.
