3 ABOUT Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF What is Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF? Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF began 66 years ago as a way to help kids still affected by World War II. Since then, millions of children across the globe have gone door to door on Halloween with UNICEF collection boxes, calling out, "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!" The annual tradition of Kids Helping Kids involving donations big and small has helped to raise more than $175 million since By Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF, you can help millions of children in need by delivering medicine, nutrition, clean water, emergency relief and education to millions of children worldwide. These kids are just like you, except many of them live in countries where poverty, war or natural disaster make it difficult to get even the basics they need to survive.

4 Get Involved How Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF works? There are many ways to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. You can follow the tradition of having children tote UNICEF s iconic orange boxes when they go trick-or-treating during Halloween or you can get creative and hold your own fundraising event. You can contact our office to request trick-or-treat boxes (good while supplies last). Alternatively, you can also use your own choice of containers. If your office hosts Halloween celebrations, here are some fundraising ideas to help get you started: HALLOWEEN CONTEST Hold a Halloween-themed contest, whether it s who comes in the best costume or who can decorate their UNICEF Trick-or-Treat box best. One peso equals one vote the one with the most votes wins! After an awarding ceremony, donate the funds collected to UNICEF. CANDY SALE/BAKE SALE Hold a Halloween candy and food sale, with each class sponsoring a specific food item, and donate part or all of the proceeds to UNICEF. ANNUAL COLLECTION DRIVE Provide each office location or department with a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF collection container to fill by a specific date. The office or department that is able to raise the most funds is recognized with a certificate and earns a special treat, like ice cream for dessert.

5 Get Involved Where does your money go? Every peso that you collect can help provide life-saving medicine, nutrition, and so much more to children in need. And you won t be alone you ll be working together with thousands of generous children from all other the Philippines (and the world!) to make a difference in UNICEF s First 1,000 days health & nutrition campaign. UNICEF is funded solely by voluntary contributions.

7 How They Did It Fundraising Drives Close to 100 superhero kids of The Philippine STAR raised trick-or-treat donations amounting to P53,158.90, which STAR president and CEO Miguel Belmonte turned over to UNICEF.

8 How They Did It Organize an Event The amazing Kids for Kids organized Takbo, a fun-filled trick-or-treat activity with an exciting twist, to raise funds for UNICEF s First #1000DaysofLife programme! Kids for Kids raised PHP300,000!

9 How They Did It Superhero Schools Kudos to Multiple Intelligence International School for making Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF a part of their Halloween every year!
